"The venue is nice, fairly modern. There are a lot of different areas to sit in, which is fun. We made a reservation, but didn't specify an area. The only place I'd recommend NOT to sit, is where we were placed: right next to the giant indoor water wheel. It was so loud we couldn't hear each other talk, and our waitress couldn't hear us when ordering. We went on a Saturday night for a birthday dinner date night. We made a reservation a week in advance, were sat right away when we arrived (hostess was very friendly), but were not visited by the waitress for over 15 minutes at which point she let us know they were running very slowly due to low staffing. Even though we were ready to order drinks and dinner, she said she'd be back to take our orders. We waited for another 10 minutes, placed our orders, and it took about 20 minutes to get our mixed drinks. I completely understand the staffing shortage right now, but if that is really why the service was slow, they shouldn't take as many reservations. The server was very friendly, but mentioned the staffing/workload too often, which made it a little awkward.Despite the very slow service, the cocktails and food were great. The bread was delicious and calamari app special was excellent. My boyfriend loved his pecan crusted cod. I got the chicken Atlantis, which was probably the largest helping size I've ever had. The seafood on it was great. We decided not to get dessert because by the time we'd finished dinner, it had been almost 2.5hrs, plus we were really full.I'd recommend coming here if it's during a less busy day of the week/time of day, or if you don't mind a lengthy stay. I don't usually mind an extended dinner/slower service because it gives me time to digest, but this was just a little too slow for me, especially being unable to have a conversation. I also don't usually complain about slow service in reviews because I know everyone is dealing with staffing shortages, but this was just too slow not to mention and could be mitigated by limiting the amount of guests at once."
