"The restaurant's managing director, Lissette Parra, was incredibly gracious and made my mother's birthday celebration perfect. Although our server, Maria, had left by the time we received service, the experience was still excellent. We started with a couple of drinks—Alma de Verano and Café con Leche—which were fantastic. Next, we enjoyed an absolutely amazing appetizer: the Portuguese octopus with Spanish paprika. For our main courses, we had the Truffle Lachs and Duck Confit Gnocchi, both of which were impeccable. For dessert, we indulged in the Golden Reverse Oreo and Naughty Latte, and they brought us so much joy! It was a beautiful experience, complemented by wonderful staff!"

"Hidden gem! I recommend everything we ordered. Escargot: 5/5. Delicious, and we used the baguette slices to dip in the extra garlic butter sauce. Italian benedict: 5/5. Eggs benny w prosciutto. The eggs were perfectly runny, the potatoes were amazing, and the jam included is homemade. Mussels and fries: 5/5. So simple yet so great. Tasty sauce and well-seasoned fries. Nutella banana crepe: Great. Generous with the Nutella and bananas. Service was 5/5! There are only 4 tables outside and the tables were more than 6 feet apart so I felt very safe dining here. Will be back to try the French onion soup! Park on the neighboring streets but be sure to read the signs carefully!"

"Booked an early dinner, wanted to check this place out for a while. Having read some of the reviews, I was a little reluctant, but we were promptly seated. Ordered drinks, the bar was a little slow, but nothing to complain about. My wife ordered the steak salad, which was good. I ordered the prime burger and sweet potato fries and a salad. Burger was really good, two patties cooked to order, they brought fries instead of the sweets, but they corrected the mistake and the sweet potato fries were tasty. Would have been better hot. The salad was fresh with two big strips of bacon. Overall the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant was between fair and good. Might give them another shot, but wouldn't rush back."

Red flag. Ordered clam chowder, escargot, trout salad and veal dinner special.Then noticed not one table had any food. All drinks no food.Wait staff , albeit helpful, did not inform us of being down one chef and later equipment problem In kitchen. mins after ordering, clam chowder small puréed cupbowl with minced clams potato carrot and fontina cheese very good but small and lukewarm escargot excess parsley arrived not mins later no next course. A few seated tables walked out. We almost did. Limited kitchen output. We had great conversation but no food no bread offer no request for additional beverage. Service crippledFinally Asked waiter to bring salad and cancelled special seemed to be the problem. Server accommodated trout salad came mins. Brought a small dinner salad for me.Chef sent Veal out mins later. Salad was very good with Trout at room temperature instead of slightly hard and cold on orevious occasions.No manager or lead on sight Now a franchise and run like one.Proceed with caution here if service and customer care are important. Stick with vendome crepe and salad"

"My friend and I made a reservation for 6:30 a.m. on a Sunday, but when we arrived, it didn't seem like it was needed. We started with the soup of the day, which featured bacon and pinto beans (not pictured), and a soup with yellow curry. Both were outstanding. For our main courses, we had the prepkitchen burger and a quarter chicken. The service was excellent, and the food was fantastic. I will definitely return to try more items from their menu!"

"We spent the day in the Bishops Arts area. Stopped in Enzo's with a party of 6 for pizza. We had salads, artichoke dip and pizza. The bartender was very friendly. The waiter was attentive. The artichoke dip was good, totally different than the usual, salads were fresh, the pizza is more of a flat bread. It is like pizza toppings on a cracker. It was a nice change and everyone enjoyed it but it was not the usual pizza. The atmosphere is lively and the restaurant has a great location. We had a good time and would come again."

"Check out my blog post about Layover here: may be a tourist spot since it 's on top of a hotel but the real locals know How awesome layover is! Perfect spot to view the San Diego Harbor. Layover is a laid back rooftop bar and lounge on the fourth floor rooftop of InterContinental San Diego. They have an adjoining pool and cabana area! Must buy day pass for pool access. Lots of seating facing the water and a few fire pits when it gets chilly.DrinksLayover has craft slushy versions of classic drinks. They 're small but they 'll get ya! They have Paper Plane has Bulleit Bourbon, Apersol, Drapo Vermouth and Aviation has Aviation Gin, Violet Liqueur, Maraschino, Lemon. Also a variety of canned wines and craft beers (a few on draft too). They have a full bar that can pretty much create any type of drink you like. I ordered the Tequila Sunrise. It was one of those rare cocktails where there was clearly enough alcohol, but tasted just as great so pretty too! FoodThe Stone Oven Pizza and Blackened Local Halibut Fish Tacos are my favorites! The fish tacos are stuffed with fresh, blackened halibut and topped with avocado crema. I ordered half cheese or half pepperoni. SO GOOD! The tomato sauce is big slices of pepperoni had a slight kick so good, so cheesy! **** Mary Shrimp Cocktail was a bit different, not your typical shrimp cocktail. Baby shrimp, pickled jicama, cucumber, and celery tossed in a house made **** mary mix. Its on the smaller side but still really delicious. Open daily noon to sunset and complimentary parking is offered for up to 3 hours with validation.Plus the service is outstanding everybody from the manager to the waitress! They really make the experience that much better."

"Decided to stop by for lunch while shopping at The Grove. Restaurant is very clean, and the host was pleasant. The waitress was attentive and a bit robotic in terms of just doing the job which is fine. Rather that than someone outright rude. I would say the food was good, but overpriced for what it is in terms of portion size and taste. The bowl of the chipotle chicken soup was very bland. Tasted like low sodium chicken broth with some cayenne pepper and bits of chicken/veggies here and there. The fried calamari was fresh and seasoned very well along with the sauce. It could have been more crispy though. The goat cheese ravioli was great. The flavors blended really well, it was light and the carrot chips added a nice crunchy texture. So kind of a mixed experience in terms of the food. If in the area I may give it another shot to see what else is good and update my review."

"The atmosphere was pleasant, and the waiter was very friendly, but unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations. My kids and I ordered burgers—one regular burger and four mini sliders. All the buns were over-toasted, resulting in burnt edges. The same issue applied to my husband's chicken sandwich, which he found tasteless and with a rubbery texture. I also tried the blood orange margarita, and it was disappointing; I couldn’t taste any blood orange, and it was pricey for what it was. While we enjoyed the hotel overall, we won't be dining there again, especially considering the food and drinks were overpriced for the quality we received."
