"The waitstaff was very nice however, the food did not meet expectations. The popovers were still doughy so while the outside was brown and flakey, they as a whole were inedible. The oysters were good, but that requires no prep/cooking. Our salads were big portioned, but my husbands Cesar had yellow lettuce meaning their selection of produce to use was questionable. My filet mignon came out rare and we sent it back only to come out still rare. The manager and wait staff were nice and they took it off the bill and offered us free dessert too because of it, and when we declined dessert they comped the salads we had instead. So the appropriate actions were taken to attempt to rectify that. We did visit during a weekday, and there were only ~5 couples there the whole time we were there so wouldn’t assume they were ‘rushing’ to get it out of the kitchen that would fluff these items so much. The parm-truffle fries were the star of the dinner, but we also got the brussel sprouts which like the popovers and my steak, looked done on the outside but weren’t actually cooked through. They did get a NY strip cooked properly on the first try, but by the time we actually were able to eat it, it was cold. We did get a bottle of wine, Stag’s Leap Artemis, and it was overpriced but there weren’t many other “known” cab wines on their list I would have been comfortable ordering and/or the options were $225+."

"Drove into Detroit for a special valentines dinner at and ended up being one of the worst dining experiences I have had We were quick to be seated, decent distance away from bar so noise level was not bad. But the dining area was very cold and drafty. Wear a sweater Waitress greeted us pretty quick and asked if we wanted drink. She said told my wife everything was over priced and not good except the peach-tini. So she orders a peach tini, I ordered long island When our drinks came back she asked us if we are ready to order our entrees yet... umm no we just sat down.. So we order an app of the kale artichoke dip. As soon as our app comes out the waitress asks again if we are ready yet and says she wants to get the order in before it gets busy... Again, No we just got our appetizer and are enjoying our drink with it.. She keeps pushing us to order our entree so finally we cave and both order the braised beef short rib A few minutes pass and we still enjoying first drink and our appetizer (now about half gone) and our entree comes out. Looks good but we aren't even done with our app let alone ready for the entree. Waitress comes by asks us if we want another drink? ours are clearly still half full and now we have a full entree and half appetizer on our table. We decline and she goes away for a bit. Then a few bites later our waitress comes back and drops off the bill on our table and says whenever we are ready. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I just ignored it and let it sit but she came back asking if it was ready. We are literally trying to enjoy our valentines meal and she drops a check half way through. She then said that shes been there “all day” so shes trying to cash out before she leaves... totally unacceptable. She wanted us to get done and out as fast as possible so she could get her money No handover to a new waiter, no asking about desert, we literally paid half way thru our meal. We left and will not go back"

"From walking in , to leaving after the bill , everything was above expectations. Food was not only presented beautifully but tasting just right. No seasoning needed. Temperature for everything was perfect. And everything came out at the same time and not one missing item or issue. The server jasmine was above and beyond what a server should be. My ONLY caveat that drops from 5 stars to 4 is the written statement on the menu board in entry-way that 20% is automatically added to the bill due to staff shortages.. I 'm lost as to the relevance of the 2 things pairing together. Mind you , I tipped 40% for my experience so the issue was not that I didn 't want to tip 20% but the reasoning behind them mandating it. So I spoke with a manager after my meal and he eventually stated that employees were not being properly taken care of so they decided to mandate the 20%. I told him everything about my visit warranted over tipping so I did and I feel bad they are not taken care of on a day to day basis but he may want to rewrite the sign so patrons are better aware and may be more inclined to over tip as I did seeing they are so short staffed and the ones who are there( cooks included are still able to perform above expectations. Without question I would visit again and am not the least bit worried of a chance of a bad experience. The manager I spoke with was very professional and I could see he cared about his staff and establishment. Great place!"
