"The restaurant has a sophisticated atmosphere perfect for adults looking to enjoy a nice dinner. However, our appetizers arrived cold and had to be returned. Fortunately, someone came to apologize for the mistake. The main course was good but not exceptional. On a positive note, the dessert was delicious. The service was lacking, as our server took a long time to attend to us and seemed disinterested throughout the meal."

"We ate early and seemed to be forgotten in the 3rd room. We had no napkins at the table and no bread at the table. We were lucky enough to see bread brought it all the other tables in the room as they began to fill up. Food was average and menu was every limited with one of the specials for the night being unavailable at 5:30. Rather disappointing."

"Came again when visiting the city after a couple of years and 100% impressed by everything. Original review: Very good experience overall and glad we made the trip. The server was friendly, attentive, and had great input. Cocktails were inventive and packed a welcome punch. Food varied between amazing and bursting with flavor to a bit bland. Calamari and shrimp app had a wonderful agrodolce and lemon aioli started things off right. We had 2 pasta dishes as mains, and there was a striking difference in flavor. The Ricotta Cavatelli was some of the most delicious pasta I've had in a long while. The sausage added great flavor to the dish and was a perfect pairing with the sauce. The other main dish was the Orecchiette. It was fine and everything was cooked properly, the sauce was creamy, but it was just bland overall, even with the sweet hits of cranberry. The goat cheese and sage cream just sort of made it a one note song. My wife mentioned that something as simple as salt and pepper would have made the dish a whole lot better, and she's correct. She usually is. For dessert we had the Myer Lemon Semolina Cake. Moist, full of flavor, and the mousse that accompanied it should be served in bowls by itself. Great visit overall with the low point being the Orecchiette, and even then it's not like it was terrible or inedible. I'm not entirely sure it warranted a paragraph but it was out of place with everything else. Prices were maybe a little steep for the quantity, but for the ambience and feel of the place it makes sense."

"One of my favorite restaurants, my “go to”! The variety of choices, both the regular menu and specials can please any palate. The help is incredibly accommodating. It’s one of the few restaurants that offers to split an entree when you mention you are sharing various selections. They truly serve with a smile. The tip you give is well deserved and not obligatory."

"This was a hidden gem in regard of the food. We discovered it completely randomly, after a night Cruise at the pier 83 so we didn?t have time to book and it was already almost 9:30 pm. The place surprised me! The food was so good, it made me feel I wassomewhere in the Mediterranean. So original! From the bread to the seasoning, the dinner was a gastronomic experience. We camewithout reservation and we?re able to seat outside, the weather was great so it was awesome. I?d strongly recommend, speciallyif you haven?t try a real Mediterranean Food."

"The food at this restaurant was incredible. We visited on a busy Friday night in Farmingdale, but it was too crowded for us, so we decided to find somewhere else that was more our speed. This place was definitely on the more upscale end of Italian restaurants in the area. I ordered the steak, which was cooked perfectly and had a great flavor. We also had dessert and coffee, and everything was very tasty."

"The vibes on the inside/outdoor patio setup are amazing. I really felt like we were in Europe! I went here on a date but there were lots of big dinner and birthday crews too. The drinks were great and 3/4 of the dishes we got were amazing. The gnocchi waspretty bland and very small for how much it cost, it didn?t taste like there was a dash of salt in the dish. However the phyllorolls, wings and patatas bravas were out of this world. The peach spritz was so refreshing, as was the cucumber cooler. Themargarita was a bit too sweet. Would probably come back for a birthday or something!"

"Have eaten here several times. Was surprised that with a reservation we were still sitting at a booth looking into the kitchen. We could have asked to be moved, but we didn't want to. The waiter was very enthusiastic, but failed to fill glasses of water without being asked. My husband's lasagna was a huge brick in the middle of an unadorned plate. A little salad or something green and crispy would have been nice. Not an à la carte fan, especially when it comes to the price of the main course alone. The room was very dark and a bit noisy. I would ask not to sit in this area another time."

"The restaurant has a beautiful setting and is very convenient for a pre-show meal, but the prices seem to be based more on the location rather than the quality of the food. Some dishes were standout, such as the fresh ricotta and tasty truffle fries, while others like the prawns and carpaccio were good but lacked complexity. On the other hand, some dishes fell short, such as the poorly executed grilled peaches that were hard, unripe, and barely grilled. The lobster mac and cheese was also somewhat disappointing."

"Terrible service. We were greeted and seated well but then left without attention and had a lot of trouble getting any. We waited more than min between appetizer and main no update, no bread, no explanation as to why. My lamb was terribly undercooked but considering how long we waited for it we had no time to return it given we were there for a show. Then it took nearly min to alert the waiter that we wanted to pay and another to actually pay. Everyone else way laying and leaving for the show and we were stuck. I thought this was a special treat prior to a show at the Kennedy Center but next time we will dine off site"

"Gullivers is an institution and part of our past at other locations which no longer exist. As we were going to be in the area, we decided to go there for a birthday celebration. The hostess who greeted us could not have been more pleasant, giving us a choice of tables when she seated us. We chose a booth that was nice and quiet. We were immediately brought breads and water. Our server was also very pleasant. We were early diners, so we received our meals quickly. We had asked for pink for our Prime Rib. It was not served that way and was nicely replaced. The only complaint was everything was just lukewarm, at best, including the stuffed potatoes we added on. We didn 't complain further, but perhaps should have considering the price of the meal. A nice strawberry shortcake style dessert was brought for a birthday treat."

"We had our wedding in the garden at Aurora and it was truly magical! It was on a Friday afternoon with an intimate casual ceremony and a lunch following. Aurora has been a long time family favorite for us, so it was so special to have our weddingthere. "We hadn't been to this restaurant in years due to the COVID pandemic, but recently went with two other couples and a friend. We had a wonderful experience. The service was attentive, the food delicious, and a great value for the price. The menu offers many Portuguese specialties, especially seafood. The wine list was extensive and reasonably priced. Valet parking is available in the restaurant lot and on the street. I will definitely be returning and recommending this place to friends and family."

"My family and I visited Inn Spot for Christmas in 2018. It was our first Christmas without my Mom, so I wanted to try something new for my Dad and three children. The dinner was amazing for all 5 of us (my husband couldn't join us due to a fever). I couldn't stop praising the food to my husband, and my Dad agreed that it was outstanding and well worth the 50-minute drive. However, when just the three of us returned for Christmas Day in 2019, we were disappointed for various reasons. The service was great and the location was beautiful, but my Dad found the goose to be not as good as the previous year, describing it as "grainy and dry." The stuffing in my turkey dinner had large chunks of bread and lacked flavor. Additionally, the waiter had incorrectly described a gingerbread chiffon dessert as actually being a piece of gingerbread, causing some confusion. Despite this, the ambiance was lovely, and we felt bad for hyping up the restaurant based on our perfect experience the year before. The portions were generous, the flavors were nice, and the prices were reasonable."

"We haven’t been back to Mezza in probably 2 years after a poor experience with a server, but decided to give it another chances because the food had always been creative and good. The Food again was good, when we finally got it but we waited 20 minutes after being seated for our server to come and that was only after we asked if he was our waiter after giving the table next to us their bill. We then waited another 15 min for his return. After ordering we again waited and only got them after having to ask if they forgot our appetizers . Then shortly after we got them they brought our mains before we had a chance to finish them. Again food was good but service was very poor but given all the excellent options for great nights out in our area, it may be 2 more years before we try them again"

"I'm new in the opposite, and that was my first time I tried hapy bistro. the resturaunt had a casual, surprisingly noble vibe. I personally loved the bar area and the decoration of the opposite in general. I was with my family, and to say that the service we had was fantastic was an understatement. my personal taste didn't fit to the food I ordered, and when I explained this to my waiter, I was met with some of the best hospitality I've ever received in a restaurant. When I heard my complaint, my waiter then recommended a secret menu to couple with my food. when that did not solve the problem for me, he then encouraged the idea that they would prepare me another meal; what was absolutely delicious! I would also like to point out that our waiter was so knowledgeable about the food prepared here that we believed that he was one of the cooks! unnecessary to say our glasses were never empty, and discussions were completely plentiful. we intend to come back here and enjoy another wonderful meal"

"I stumbled upon this restaurant during the World Cup while looking for a brunch spot. They had the games playing over the loudspeakers, and it was pretty loud. The service was slow, but the food was excellent. I chose this place hoping for a cozy brunch atmosphere, but it felt more like a sports bar. I might consider coming back if they toned down the loud sports commentary."
