"A'Cuppa Tea, located at 2992 College Ave./Ashby Ave. in Elmwood, is a cozy spot to unwind in a plush armchair while enjoying a wide variety of teas. I opted for a boba milk tea, handcrafted with high-quality black tea and real coconut chunks—the owner even showed me how they’re specially stored. Since I’m sensitive to caffeine and hesitant to drink boba tea in the afternoon, I was happy to learn that decaffeinated Earl Grey milk tea is available for later hours. For those unfamiliar, boba tea includes a layer of large tapioca pearls at the bottom, which you drink through an oversized straw. Along with hot teas and coffees, the menu offers a decent breakfast selection—think breakfast burritos or berry scones—and lunch options. I had the lunch special rice bowl with flavorful chicken and stir-fried vegetables. I’ve heard great things about their Thai iced tea and beef noodle soup, too. Additional seating is available upstairs in this small, family-run cafe."
