"We had chicken burritos and eggs Benedict, both delicious. We shared cheesecake for dessert, really big piece and also very good. The coffee was fresh and just strong enough. Nice diner in a decidedly underserved area. Great for a pitstop before or after visiting Ward Pound Ridge!"

The menu features consistent, healthy portion sizes. While parking can be a bit tricky, the location inside a supermarket means a short walk after parking. Although I don’t drink coffee, I noticed many customers placing preorders during my visit. The breakfast options are excellent, with a great variety to choose from. Nearby shops make it convenient for a quick bite on the go. The restrooms are clean and well-maintained."

"I expected to pay $11.25 for a salmon Benedict and a little more for a cup of black coffee, but my bill ended up being over $24. The breakfast specials board was obscured by patio furniture, and the menu had a section labeled "breakfast specialties," which are not the same as breakfast specials. The hostess mentioned that many customers have been confused by this, which raises the question of why they haven't updated their menu or made the distinctions clearer for patrons? Be sure to confirm prices before you order! I'm fine with paying $24 for breakfast, but I find it misleading when menus and prices are not clearly communicated. As a native of Bgame, I won't be returning. Additionally, I noticed that the shredded cheese taken from the kitchen was moldy at the bottom of the container, so it definitely wasn't fresh."

"This place has a lot of seating indoor and outdoor. It's simply decorated. I was greeted right away and placed my to go order.I really wanted to try the Joe's omelette but what turned me off was that the lady told me the mix is pre made so you can't ask for any substitutions.We ended up ordering;1. Corn beef hash with hashbrowns and Sourdough toast The corn beef was flavorful and the hashbrowns were crispy just how I like it. The toast complimented it perfectly. I liked that the toast wasn't burnt like some places.2. All meat omelette Super flavorful and not greasy. I appreciate that the eggs were not watery and runny. It wasn't super cheesy and I like that they had added onions to give it a crunch.Overall, a very good experience. I wouldn't mind coming back to try other items."

"What was once owned by two settlers is now recently owned by a new family that decided to change nothing of the menu when purchased because of what a local favorite restaurant this is, and I can see why. Warm welcomes, great staff, amazing and well-priced drinks! No wonder this place is a spot for locals and travelers! My mom got the Greek breakfast, my father the biscuits and gravy and I got the chicken and waffles with ROSEMARY SYRUP. oh-em-geeeeeee that syrup was so good I think I'm going to start infusing my syrup with it at home! Seriously, what a great idea! Needless to say, we all devoured our delicious meals and my mom and I usually don't finish it but the lamb in her omelette was juicy and crispy that just perfected the omelette. Good chunks of meat in the gravy and a lovely, and not dry, biscuit underneath for my dads meal. I highly suggest coming here if you're in the area looking for a great breakfast with a hometown feel and an overall great experience. Look no further than MelRose! And you won't be disappointed!"
