"We like to head out for Sunday brunch occasionally and Brunch Cafe in Fox River Grove is our normal go-to place. Of course the line was out the door there so we decided to try someplace new. Found JC's Cafe a few miles away with 5 star average yelp rating so we went straight away. It's conveniently located on the corner by the tracks. When you first walk in there is a vestibule type room before you walk in to the restaurant part. It took a minute to get my bearings when we walked into the restaurant area both because I had never been there before and also because the lighting is very low. There put burlap bags over the light fixtures which is kinda cool but also made it a bit dark. We were promptly greeted and offered a menu and a table. This place is cozy small). There are only 3 or 4 tables. I was craving an omelet or something similar so I was a bit disappointed that the only eggs were in a panini sandwich. The reviews I looked at briefly before we got there raved about the paninis so I ordered the egg and turkey one. Husband ordered the turkey and bacon with chipotle aioli. The menu is limited which makes sense for a small place making food from scratch. They had a special today of tacos that I wished now that I had tried instead. But I had breakfast on the brain. The cup of coffee I had was really good! 5 stars. This is a family run business and I overheard the owner talking to the other table that his wife does the cooking and our server was his oldest child. Another son about 4 yr or so was milling about and had a tendency to stomp his feet around as kids will do and that was kind of annoying to be honest. Our sandwiches arrived. My husband really liked his. He said the chipotle aioli gave it a nice flavor and good heat. The bread/bun was different than other paninis I've had. It was a cross between a croissant and a bun. I'm not a fan of croissants because they come across as greasy due to the fat content. Plus I usually prefer a healthier bread choice. Ruffles type potato chips were served with the sandwiches. I nearly never eat potato chips because I consider them a sinful but empty/poor nutrient food. Of course I ate every one of them since they were there : For me this is probably not someplace I will frequent due to the limited menu and lack of healthy options."

"Our previous favorite breakfast place closed down so we tried this one instead yesterday. Nice place. Good environment. Food was great. Friendly and attentive server. Felt a little bad because I got up and asked for a to-go box after forgetting to ask the server for one when she brought the check to our table and owner/manager was right on it. Just hope he didn't think it was her fault for not bringing it previously : Definitely would go back."

"I went for the first time this Saturday morning around 10 am. We had a nice waitress and it help that my friend goes there a lot for me to choose what I wanted to eat. I had some coffee, soup, and the chicken and bacon waffle. The waffle are made with baconand cut into 4. It comes with 2 extra strips of bacon and 2 like chicken tenders. The chicken was alright I felt like it was abit over cooked and a bit dry. The bacon was crispy just like it should be. The chicken noodle soup was salty. Hopefully thecooks try it next time they serve it. Good flavor just salty. That's why I rated a 4 stars. Thanks Hopefully next time it'sbetter."

"All I can say it WOW. I have been eating at different Brunch Cafe locations for years and I have never had bad food or service from any location. I called in my order and picked it up 15 minutes later. From the phone order to picking up my food was more than pleasant. A very friendly staff! Then there is the food, simply delicious every time. The portions are great, especially for the price! I HIGHLY recommend trying, if you haven't already."

"We arrived and looked like we had done good time because it was full, but we sat right away. Paula was our server so sweet and attentive! My little had the chocolate chip pancakes, my daughter had the old fashion French toast, the hubs had the eggs Benedict, which was amazing, he also had the strawberries filled French toast. So delicious! The oldest chose the “Two Egg Breakfast”. The French toast had exactly the right amount sweet. Paula recommended the cured beef chop with dikes and I had the cookie. What? I'd go back to Savannah, just for the court. All right! Such a family-friendly atmosphere!"

"I love Soul Cafe for business breakfasts, brunches, and lunches. The cafe is generally quiet in the late morning hours and you can reserve a table for 6 10 without a problem. The servers are delightful, helpful, friendly people who aim to please. The food is excellent! We had people with dietary restrictions (vegan, gluten free) and they were able to order delicious, beautiful food and drinks. The prices are reasonable and the value for your money is good. I highly recommend to avocado toast. My colleagues ordered pancakes, shakshuka, and protein bowls everyone loved their food! Both people who ordered the protein bowls couldn't finish them and had leftovers to take home. Highly recommend Soul Cafe!"

"I visited a Kreation restaurant for the first time and was very impressed! This location was conveniently near our Airbnb and just a short bike ride away. The staff were friendly and attentive while I ordered an açaí bowl smoothie. Although the prices were on the higher side and the wait for just a smoothie was quite long, I absolutely loved the vibe and atmosphere of this place, which really adds to this part of Venice. The smoothie tasted delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised by its beautiful presentation. I would definitely return!"

"I had a short bite before I had to get rid of myself to get my haircut. You order at the counter and choose between bread and Ink Cafe and the waffle window. Completely different menus so it really doubles your options. I ordered the Smashburger with waffles and my friend ordered 1/2 chicken waffles. We both shared our meals, so we had the best of both worlds. My burger was juicy and had the right amount of crispy. The chicken was also very delicate and well paired with the waffle. If we were there, we definitely noticed that they do a lot of delivery app orders, so read about what you will."

"Always a great meal! We've visited this restaurant several times, and the breakfasts have consistently been delicious. During our most recent visit, we decided to try items from the lunch menu. "finally had time to try this place. ordered pancakes, speck eier. I was told that the order would be ready for 20 to 25 minutes. I went to pick up and was told 10 minutes. the cashier said I could pay now and she'd call me when the order is ready. after 10 minutes or so, you went back to get my order, the cash went to meet him, we drove home. When I came home and the box opened, I couldn't believe my eyes, two pancakes, one was burned as black as the bag in which they put my order. we went back to the restaurant. I went in and complained (different cassers in the front) that we had waited for 45 minutes for this unacceptable eating and I let the casser know that I wanted a refund. I opened the box to show him how the burned pancake was put on the floor(they believed I wouldn't notice) the casser said he could see why I was angry. I also asked him if sirupbutters come with the pancakes. he said yes. I hadn't commanded mine. he tried to pay back to my account, but could not give me a reception. the reception that he printed looked like he had rebooked my account. I told him I waited long enough to give me money what he did, what a terrible experience. I will not try this place again. I will be sure to check my bank account to make sure that I didn't pay twice. waste of time!"
