"This place is a hidden gem in northeast Iowa. Seen a Facebook post that said this place had amazing food for a dive bar. This place is not a dive bar, it is super clean and in good repair. The staff today, one person who we assumed was the owner was amazing. Super friendly and personable. He was the bartender, waiter, chef and yes, he was an amazing cook. The seafood was excellent. Spouse had the 11 ounce cold water Lobster tail. Son-in-law has Admiral's Platter with Scallops and Shrimp. Daughter had the Jimmy Burger and it was freaking huge! I had the 8 ounce Filet Mignon. All food was cooked perfectly. Food is not season's, salted or spicy. Hashbrowns and onion rings were some of the best we have had in a very long time. If you are looking for good food off the beaten path, then this is the place to go. We are already planning our next trip to Alpha for a meal at the Alpha Tap."
