"It didnât seem that the business had our reservation. The manager asked to confirm my name a couple times. He went to the back dining area to âcheck that our table was ready.â Then a server put some silverware down at a long table in the front, and led us there. It wasnât the nice place-setting tables they have in back, where Iâve been sat every other time we came. In the past, they have offered a shot of vodka before the meal. This didnât happen. There werenât any paper menus for those on our party that didnât have phones. The food was good, though the portions were smaller than expected."

"I found this restaurant thanks to some great recommendations from fellow Yelpers. I was in the area for a studio visit and wanted to enjoy a nice meal away from chain restaurants. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from. We ordered a beef shish salad and a chicken breast lule kebab plate, which came with hummus and tabbouleh. The flavors of the meats were outstanding, cooked to perfection with delicious seasonings. The tabbouleh was fresh and had a pleasant little spice to it. The hummus was creamy and rich in tahini, while the flatbread was thin and soft. We all absolutely loved our meal. Our server was friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a simple, casual vibe. It seems that most people have shifted to takeout since COVID, though the place used to host live music. I highly recommend checking it out—grab a group and enjoy a fantastic meal!"

"First, regarding the food. We ordered the MEGRULI (amazing, simple pizza-like dish sans red sauce and with lots of cheese) and ADJARULI (referred to as a cheese boat by a friend, with a cheesy dip in the middle of a loaf of bread; I didn't love as much personally but was also very good) to share; I had the MTSVANE LOBIO (Green beans, cooked with white onions, fresh tomatoes herbs) as my entree and it was so fresh and perfectly spiced and cooked. For wine I had MARANULI TSITSKA, a white wine for which I knew (and still know) nothing about but was crisp and smooth and perfectly chilled and everything I was looking for in a white wine Second, regarding literally everything else. It was just bad. The service was apathetic the entire evening and it was painful to try and get the bill. When it came, it had errors on it two large charges not made by us that we discovered only after our cards were run. I would have thought it had a simple solution but we had to wait ages and as a solution was still not figured out, accept a partial refund on one of the cards. Put a bit of a damper on what was a delicious meal!"

"I was extremely disappointed having read other reviews. First, we asked for recommendations on gluten free dishes and one server gave us options. We ordered with a different server appetizers, entrees and a side. The second server came back saying that one entree contained gluten even after we were told it didnât. Then the appetizer came out followed by the side dish one minute later. Then one entree came out three minutes later followed by the second entree five minutes after that. The timing was all off. Nobody came by to refill drinks or even inquire about dinner. The food was âokâ."

"We ate outside which had a great view of the inter-coastal looking south towards South Beach. The tables could be spruced up a bit, more consistent with the quality of the inside dining design, incl. providing napkins and silverware. You had a choice to pick from the American continental menu or the regional Georgian menu. We went for the latter to try some new dishes and we were not disappointed at all. The baked bread with cheese inside and an egg on top (a staple in Georgia) was fresh and delicious, the sautéed eggplant was outstanding, and the rack of lamb on a 2 foot sword was one of the best lamp chops I've ever had. Besides the quality of the table setting, the only drawback was the service levels. The staff were extremely nice but overwhelmed and weren't staffed up for a full night of diners on a Thursday night. We will be back!"

"Very disappointing. I don't know how they managed to get 4 1/2 stars on Google, these reviews are either fake or something happened to the administration of the place a while ago. Place is dirty, staff is absolutely unfriendly, food is unacceptable. Especially after COVID, you expect restaurant owners to pay attention to the business and the way it works, we? Of course, that's not a case. Came with my kids for lunch, I really hope nothing will happen after this lunch. No dish was good, all dishes were over boiled, dry and not to eat? never seen Armenian kebab prepared in pieces on the flat area, not on a spit; It is a pity that it is?Armenian?, we Armenians know how to cook?"

"We went to this restaurant for a family birthday.We ordered the duck, when it arrived, as I was eating, I noticed that both ends of the plate were heavily chipped, so we called the manager to speak with us.We explained that this is unprofessional and dangerous, there could be pieces of the plate in the food!He looked at us like we were crazy and proceeded to say, “ it happens, but there is no pieces in the food, we check every plate “, then walked off like that was an acceptable answer.Terrible customer service."

"I had a craving for Mediterranean food, and I drove past this restaurant every day for a week. One day, I decided to take my mom out, and we thought we’d give it a try. However, when we arrived, we found out that they were not open for dining in, but there was no sign indicating this anywhere. As I walked in to inquire about their dining options, I was greeted by a strong scent of cleaning products. While I appreciate a clean restaurant, it was surprising to see a chef in a uniform doing the cleaning. Honestly, I was relieved they weren’t open for dining, as the smell was quite overpowering. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food since we didn’t place a takeout order."

"Terrible service, we kept being rushed, even though the restaurant was almost empty. They are not properly trained to wait for all diners at the tale to finish their appetizers before crowding the table with the entree. Also, bringing the bill without asking for it is rude as well...as is getting orders mixed up between the 3 occupied tables...quite laughable."

"We Love Slavyanskiy Bazar from Adult Day Care Center 'Golden Years Club '. This review is written on Behalf of Adult Day Care Center 'Golden Years Club ', Our group of 25 people, comes once a week for lunch for past few month and i gotta tell you, this place is the best. Our group had went to several Russian restaurants in Brooklyn, and Slavyanskiy Bazar is far the best restaurant. The food is just great, the chicken is finger licking delicious, the fish just melts in your mouth, the mashed potatoes are just made right, The soups ; borsh and chicken are so tasty. The kampot (mixed fruit drink) is just so good. As soon as our bus arrives to Slavanskiy Bazar the food is already being served, the waiters are very polite and professional, the service is top notch, the owners are really friendly and can accommodate with any of your needs. The decor of the place is old fashioned and beautiful, with matreshkas (Russian dolls), but it also has a modern taste to it with Flat screen TVs."

"Chicken shawarma was awesome. Different regions of world has different recipes of shawarma they all different but key of good shawarma is meat Ed’s Kitchen use good fresh meat, it’s like I cook for my self and how it supposed to be. If anyone says it’s not shawarma don’t listen to that person. I tried different shawarma in Chicago land and that one of the best. Chicken meat was grilled on wood lump which gives you best taste of meat. I will definitely recommend to my friends and I will come back to try other stuff that they have."

"The free appetizer of bread and cream cheese was amazing! They give it to you while you order. As I was waiting on my food, the owner came to me and asked me how I liked the appetizer. He's a nice guy and that was impressive that he would do that! All the rest of the food was delicious. I got my lamb chops and was surprised to only have 5 for 26 dollars. I was amazed to notice myself having to struggle to eat the last two, because I was getting full. I like how the bones were wrapped in aluminum foil, so your fingers will stay clean while eating them. It's a nice place to come back to in the future!"

"Zero customer service. They can't handle more then 2 tables at once. Charges money for water. Are you serious??? 1-2 hours to get the food. Waiter didn't even come once to the table to ask if we needed anything or everything was OK. We had to get up andask for whatever we needed repeatedly. "This place is exactly what I look for in a restaurant. Small, quaint, traditional vibes, and almost hole-in-the-wall status. No pretentious white tablecloths here. The menu is full of options for the veg lover. We ate the Fattoush salad (yum!! and big! , the veg plate and the falafel plate. The hummus is so delicious, and the baba ganoush was different than I am used to, in the best way possible. The smokey flavour was so unique. We loved everything we ate here! Plus, it's on Frenchman, which is away from the maddening crowd. Check it out!"

"We recently had dinner with our family and everything was delicious from babaganoush, beet salad, chicken salad, lentil soup, with amazing Uzbek bread with the meat paradise (which included lamb chops, beef, chicken and lula kebabs). We also had Uzbek pilav and tried the liver previously. Presentation, and service was great, staff was very friendly. Lentil soup took me all the way to Turkey which i made me realize i missed that taste, it was really good. Restaurant has a great atmosphere. I believe they also have live music on Saturdays. If you are looking for a great experience and taste delicious Uzbek foods look no further. I strongly recommend it."

"Food was unexceptional but fine. Service stunk. The servers were very eager to take our order checking in with us multiple times within the first 5 minutes of our arrival to see if we were ready. Then the meal took a really long time to arrive. And our dishes arrived separately, even though there were only two in our party. And then the servers disappeared completely. They didn't check to see if everything was ok, no walk throughs, nothing. I really wanted more water but no one was available for over an hour (yes, really). They weren't busy there was only one other party in the restaurant (who also complained about the wait). There were more staff there than patrons, so it wasn't that they were unusually busy. I would have thought the staff had just gone home, except that partway through our meal, a pizza delivery guy arrived and headed for the kitchen. I have no clue if the good reviews are real, but I'm not coming back."

"Hello everyone! I want to share a wonderful Mediterranean restaurant that I recently discovered—well, I take full credit for finding it! I've tried everything from large chains like Massif to cozy family-run eateries, but I have to say, this place stands out above the rest. When a friend recommended it to me and mentioned you can 'taste the love in every bite,' I was a bit skeptical. However, I can now confidently say that the kebabs here are among the best I’ve ever tasted! Here are a couple of tips if you decide to visit: 1. Consider getting your food to go and be sure to order in advance for an easier experience. 2. Parking can be a bit tricky, but if you park in the corner, you should be fine. "You may not have tried Georgian food before, but it should definitely be on your list for regular ethnic eating. This was my third time at Marani , and it did not disappoint. The appetizers all with walnuts are unique and very tasty. Every dish we had a lamb kebab, plov (rice and meat), and the two chicken dishes we tried were excellent. Marani is nicely decorated, but the food is very homey like I would imagine I would get in a Georgian grandmother 's kitchen. You get a lot of food for the price, as well, making it more than worth a visit. On one visit I went downstairs for the dairy meal a kachipuri , a kind of Georgian pizza. It was also excellent and fresh made."
