"I have never written a negative review for anything but I think I have to after having eaten here tonight. We hadn't been to Frank's in over 10 years and, before tonight, we remember it being of good quality. We wanted some good steaks tonight, so we went there.Well our experience was not really good at all. First, no one was available when we walked in to seat us. The bartender saw that we walked in and ignored us. There were only one or two other tables seated (it was only around 4pm when we got in there . One of us tried to find someone to seat us, and we did and then we were promptly seated in a completely empty section (which was fine .The waiter, who seemed most preoccupied in being attentive to the table of women who were there without men, really ignored us most of the time, other than the requisite initial drink and food orders. We had to flag him down two times by getting two other people to help us find him (for another drink one time, and to get the check the 2nd time . He never came over to ask how the food was after it came out (and mine was undercooked, but I learned years ago from people I know who work in restaurants that you NEVER return your food in even fancy places! Some members of the staff in a lot of places have a field day with your food when you do! .When we asked for the check, he never even asked if we wanted dessert (and we did! . He was way too preoccupied with the few female patrons at their tables (I believe there were 2 other seated tables .The food the garlic steak had little to no garlic taste. Same thing with the garlic spinach. Surprising, when they bill that the garlic is a big part of the meal. The food wasn't bad it just was uh and certainly not of the quality that warrants a $225.00 check for two people.Usually, we have a good experience at any restaurant we go to. We felt it was important to note this. It might just have been an off time and the waiter would probably have more success on dating apps than trying to flirt with the women in the place who aren't with men."

"H2O Seafood Sushi is a culinary haven that had us grinning from ear to ear. From the first spoonful of their New England clam chowder, we knew we were in for a treat. Creamy, brimming with tender clams and savory applewood bacon, it was like a warm hug on a chilly evening. The duck tacos, the special of the day, were a revelation! Succulent duck meat danced inside crispy taco shells, a fusion of flavors that burst with every bite. The mango and cilantro toppings were the perfect partners, elevating this dish to culinary genius. And then there was the Starr Roll, a sushi creation that left us dazzled. It was a masterpiece, every bite a tantalizing journey of freshness. The creamy avocado, delicate salmon, and just-right tempura crunch with spicy mayo combined for a symphony of flavors that lingered long after the plate was cleared. The wasabi delivers a powerful, invigorating kick that elevates every bite to a flavor explosion! Our dining experience was made all the more exceptional by our server, Nick. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor added a personal touch that we greatly appreciated. H2O Seafood Sushi is more than a restaurant; it's a celebration of flavors, an experience to remember. If you're in the mood for the best clam chowder, inventive specials, and sushi that wows, this is your place. A huge thank you to Nick and the entire team for an unforgettable evening!"

"we went first to tudor city steakhouse for brunch outdoors with friends, and it was fabulous. we have been back to dinner twice since then and it has not fulfilled our first experience. the dining room itself is beautiful and the service is very courteous. but eating is in order. for our first dinner we went full steakhouse: keilsalat, porterhouse, framed spinat, kartoffeln. no one was a game for other nyc steakhouses we love. the steak was simply not so delicate or tasteful, and none of the sides stood out on some wise. last week we went back to try their non-steak menu. my wife had the Breanzino special, and I had another special: seafood with linguini in red sauce, seasoned (white soße was also an option). nothing bad about one of our main things, but the breanzino plate just didn't look well and the fish was a little more fishy than expected. the generous seafood dish included a few excellent garnel and good calamari, mush and mush, along with enough pasta for a poor. but the lobster was overboiled and the sauce was missing the bright taste that this $59 should have had. it is still a nice culinary experience, because the room is elegant (but not too stuffy and the service attentive, but you wish that the food was thrown up a crab. (end: there is an upper and a lower section to the dining room. the upper part has a live musician who knocks old melodies in one voice and with a volume that would not improve my culinary experience. it is not too bad to sit in the back of the lower section where we asked."

"Fresh fare in room with a view. You might know it by its sign. Or by its signature glazed green coffee mugs. Both contain two little bears, dining at table together, looking as if they’re about to make a happy toast. Nope? Then you’re missing a hidden treasure, tucked away in bucolic Bear Creek Village. Open only for breakfast and lunch, Bear Creek Café has to be one of the cutest, most peaceful places in all of NEPA, we dare say, to enjoy an early meal. The first-shift crowd surely will find much to love on a breakfast menu whose entrées include everything from The Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Jolly Bear plates – containing varying combinations of eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, potatoes, toast and pancakes – to creamed chipped beef Chef Rob’s personal recipe), stuffed French toast, a Belgian waffle and assortment of omelets. A Bear Hug and The Yummy Bear round out the morning menu as sandwich options. The first is eggs, cheese and meat in a flour tortilla, and the second is eggs, cheese and meat on a bagel. Both come with country potatoes. We’ve had – and loved – almost everything on this menu before, but our purposes for this visit were to scope out the lunch menu, which we hadn’t yet had much opportunity to enjoy. It’s sandwich heavy as expected), but the options are attractive enough. The signature sandwich is a grilled turkey apple cheddar melt with apple slices and apple butter for $9.95, and that sounded like a great welcome back to almost-autumn, but we were drawn to The Café Quiche and another afternoon item with “bear” in its name. Our two plates were almost studies in contrast, suitable for a mama and baby bear or perhaps a papa and baby or papa and mama. One of us sure looked hungry is my point. By that we mean The Grizzly Bear – grilled chicken or steak) with onions, sweet peppers and cheese Provolone was chosen) on a hoagie roll for $9.95 – was absolutely huge, and half came home. But it also was absolutely delicious, with special points going out to the tasty roll, crunchy on the outside but all kinds of soft on the inside. Chicken was chopped and plentiful – well-seasoned, too – and the cheese was generous, with the peppers kicking in a sweet bite. Multigrain chips, a deli pickle and a daily side made the portion even larger and tastier). The Café Quiche $7.95), on the other hand, was more delicate-looking, a pretty slice from a homemade pie. But it was plenty tasty: creamy and rich but not too rich. “A nice, light lunch,” my guest said, noting the generous cubed ham and mild cheese. Presentation was flawless, too. This one came with a side salad and a dinner roll. Options we passed over but would like to try in the future include the salmon burger $8.95), Southwest Wrap $9.95) and quesadillas $6.95 or $8.95 with meat). Chef salad and a Mandarin chicken salad also are available for the garden-grazers. Both sounded intriguing and would make a nice lunch with soup. Yep, there’s soup. We each had a teeming and hot bowl of beef barley, with our only disappointment being the beef was of the ground variety rather than the meaty, tender chunks we prefer. Still, the broth had plenty of flavor, and sometimes soup is all about the broth. Desserts, if you have the room, change daily, and homemade cakes and pies appear to steal the show. So maybe plan to come hungry. Like any self-respecting bear. If you’re lucky, you might even see one scampering through the scenic grounds complete with a flowing creek/stream, visible through the tall glass windows off the main dining room. Did we see any bears? Nope, and, sure, that’s probably a good thing. But truly we couldn’t ask for a better view. Or a more pleasant lunch. "Never have I ever spent over $1,000 at a place that treated me with such disrespect and distaste. If I could give this place zero stars, then I would. What started out as a beautiful night with Senior Staff at Livingstone College surprising my father for his birthday (we made reservations two weeks in advance) quickly turned out to be a nightmare. We ordered several appetizers, steak, ribeye, prime rib, lobster— just to name a few. We barely were able to enjoy our dessert after feeling rushed. It didn’t stop there, unfortunately. “Somehow” the lights were “accidentally” cut off while we were sitting in there. The owner claims a customer turned off the lights and he immediately turned them on. I can confirm that was one of many lies. As an Attorney, I noticed this was an immediate liability. If someone slipped and fell in the dark, I can guarantee this would be a different claim. However, it was interesting to me that the lights in the bar area where other patrons were seated at the bar having drinks remained on in the next room over. The owner claimed we stayed at the restaurant “well past an hour after closing” despite no one saying anything— even when we booked the reservation. I guess there’s no reason to say anything when your actions can be worth 1000 words. However, we began to get up IN THE DARK and head towards the front door. The lights did not come back on while we were inside the building. I know this because the owner— who never identified himself nor apologized, brought the card outside because we left it due to the darkness. After hearing one of the senior staff members called the owner today expressing her dissatisfaction, I was informed the owner hung up on her. In my attempt to express my dissatisfaction with the owner, he continued to gaslight me and tell me I was threatening him and harassing him with phone calls. He failed to acknowledge the situation and apologize. Instead, he immediately became defensive and said “what else do y’all want me to do?” I told him this was unacceptable, and he proceeded to tell me that calling him was unacceptable. I am disgusted by the service at this restaurant and the lack of accountability following the incident. I promised him as long as there is breath in my body I will never eat here. There are plenty of other steakhouses and places that will gladly allow you to spend $1,000+ and allow people to feel WELCOME. I wonder whether the story would be different if other College Presidents similarly situated and their families would be treated the same way. I don’t have to worry about my treatment or my loved ones treatment here because I can promise we will never return."
