"First and last time at this location. With as many Vietnamese restaurants as there are in the North Dallas area, I would recommend driving right past this one and onto the next. Highly disappointed with the whole experience. Like many first generation Vietnamese from immigrant families, we typically eat out to find cuisine that is almost as good as what we had growing up in our own homes. Many VN restaurants pride themselves on authenticity and flavor, and many hit the mark, while others just miss it. I am so sad to say that this place didn 't even strive for a landing near the mark. Aside from a convenient location and a friendly hostess, there was nothing that would encourage me to return, or recommend this place. I 'm sorry to say that during a time when small businesses need strong reviews to stay afloat, but I think this place has lost its inspiration and drive in producing a quality product for their customers. The website is not very user friendly and takes you to the San Angelo location as a default. When it finally loaded, I was able to get to the end of the online order process before the website crashed and reset. I chose to call in, and the receptionist was very kind, but did not seem very familiar with the menu herself. When we finally got through the order, she informed me it would take 30 minutes. Seemed a little long for a pickup order, but I assumed they must be busy in the restaurant. I was only 10 minutes away, so I tried to kill a little time and arrived 15 minutes after the call to pay for the meal. When the girl took my card for payment, she said it should be about 30 minutes . I was a little surprised and asked another 30? . She said yes, well we have to turn on the grill. Hmm. Why is your grill not preheated for orders and does that mean you didn 't at least start it after I put in my order? Nevertheless, I offered some grace and said I would go run an errand and return. About 25 minutes later, I arrived and was pleased to see that the order was bagged up and ready to go. Excited to try a new VN place, I got home with the order of Grilled Pork Spring Rolls, 2 Grilled Pork Banh Mi, 1 Lemongrass Chicken with Rice and 1 Grilled Pork and Eggroll Bowl. Our household was shocked and frankly, disappointed with the presentation when we opened the bag. Since most places put their best pictures online as to attract people to eat first with their eyes, I understand when things are not exactly alike when you get the real thing. The pictures below show a stark contrast to what was ordered and what was received. There 's hardly a resemblance at all. The Grilled Pork Spring Rolls were sparse of meat and filled with wet noodles. One bite and the whole roll fell apart. The Banh Mi was extremely void of protein and the bread was stale. There were no jalapeños, the addition of shredded iceberg lettuce and hardly any pickled veg. The taste of soy sauce overpowered the sandwich, and the meat itself had little to no flavor. As for the rice dishes...it 's clear that the protein was hardly grilled, especially for the 30 minute wait that was quoted. Most lemongrass chicken orders are comprised of juicy, marinated chicken thighs that are grilled to perfection. The dish we received was dry, flavorless and tasted as if it was boiled first and cooked in an oven. I chose not to take a picture of the flavorless and soggy eggroll that came with my Grilled Pork...that looked suspiciously the same as the Lemongrass Chicken...but no matter. This place missed on all aspects. I notice people say it 's the best Pho they 've ever had in Dallas, but a good restaurant needs to be able to stand behind all its dishes, not just the namesake of the business. It 's a shame that we won 't be taking a chance to try to so-called best Pho in town because of the disappointing experience we 've already had. What a waste of over $50.00."
