"My note to the corporate office I work for a business a few miles from the 54th Street Grill Bar on Rector, near the intersection of 410 281. I have a lean but efficient staff that, during busy times, will allow food delivery to avoid late night hours (overtime). This gives my team an opportunity to eat while working. Understand it 's all my team 's choice of what they want to do. From a monetary prospective, food delivery is equivalent (maybe cheaper) than paying overtime. In the past, they have ordered from this 54thStreet location because it has a robust menu. The last several times, however, orders from 54th Street have been delivered wrong with lots of food thrown away leaving my employees hungry as a result. This last order, followed by the behavior of the staff, took the cake and left my blood boiling. Further, the poor communication from the GM, Robert Allen, provoked a trip to have a discussion with the man face to face, which I will explain below. Wednesday, February 16th, a lady on my team ordered from 54th Street for delivery. This time, instead of the order being wrong, there was a hair in the food. My team member called 54th Street and a woman, identifying herself as Anna, took the call. My team member explained the situation and Anna told her they would replace the meal but they would not deliver it. My team member insisted the replacement be delivered. Anna, thinking she put my team member on hold but instead on speaker phone, tells her peers, in paraphrase, this b wants us to take the food to her. The adjective, was definitely used in the conversation. My employee is yelling into the phone and once Anna realizes the phone was on speaker instead of the intended hold, hangs up on my team member. My team member calls back and this time a woman, who identified herself as Maraya, the manager answers the phone. My team member asks to speak to Anna to which Maraya, the manager refuses. My team member then asks to speak to the GM to which Maraya, the manager tells her, in paraphrase you will have to call back to speak to him once he is available. My team member goes to the 54th Street platform on the Internet to complain. Within a couple of hours, the GM Robert Allen, returns her call. My team member explains the situation. Mr. Allen offers her a $50 gift card for her next visit. All of this debacle took place between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on Wednesday. By Thursday morning, my team member still had not received her $50 gift card as promised by Mr. Allen. Thursday, 11:30 am, I decide to take a drive to 54thStreet, look Mr. Allen right in the eye, and let him know WHO will be reporting this debacle about he and his staff for lack of performance to their corporate office. Mr. Allen defended his actions telling me since my team member was not registered with the 54th Street app provided for patrons, the gift card he promised would have to come from corporate. My response did you tell her it would take at least 24 hours? to which he said no. I find it ironic, though, that before I could return to the office, my team member had the $50 gift card in her email. Given the lack of respect from the entire 54th Street team, I question the honesty of Mr. Allen. Just as a side note, Mr. Allen did say internal disciplinary action was taken on Anna and Maraya, the manager but did not provide further detail. I would also like to say, my team member did get a credit from the delivery service which was in addition to the $50 gift card from Mr. Allen. Now, let 's recap: The intent of my team ordering delivery was to save time. An online order was made which SHOULD HAVE BEEN the extent of time needed to have this task complete. Instead, my employee had to take time away from her workload, to make two additional calls to be lied to and harassed, get on the Internet to file a"
