"Our goal was to enjoy a midday meal, but one cannot indulge in such a bar without also enjoying some drinks. So we did, and it was delightful. In a place like this, the demand is high, so we made sure to place our orders promptly. We chose three punches ($12 each), a fried chicken plate ($17), Cadillac nachos ($15), and two cheeseburgers ($12 each).
The punch is a must for those who enjoy sweet, boozy drinks that really pack a punch. As for the fried chicken, it is the centerpiece of the meal, according to my friends, who have raved about it even though I had yet to try it. The nachos were a highlight—gooey, tangy, and always a perfect bite. Lastly, the cheeseburger, which comes on a soft bun with finely chopped lettuce, crispy tomatoes, onions, pickles, and mayo, along with a playful little umbrella, is my favorite in town. It’s not too big or expensive, but it’s perfectly seasoned and so much better than what you’d get at Minetta Tavern for the same price.
Fly high, Commodore! Whether in the midsummer heat or beneath a blanket of snow, I’m always ready to return!"
