"I ordered an 8-inch custom birthday cake and was charged nearly $105 with tax, but I was really disappointed with it. For starters, they didn’t even provide me with a picture of how the cake would look. The cake itself was dry and tough, and the mango filling tasted overly processed—nothing like the fresh mango filling from Red Ribbon. The icing was overly thick and reminded me of Walmart’s frosting. I wouldn’t pay more than $45 for such a mediocre cake; I might consider up to $80 for a custom design. However, for anything above that, I could get some of the best 8-inch cakes from the Upper East Side for around $80. This place seems to excel only at their classic cupcakes and certain flavors, but when it comes to custom cakes, they fall short."
