"Horrible experience, we waited an hour to be seated even though we made a reservation. We ordered appetizers right away and then a bottle of wine and our main courses later after being seated. After another 40 minutes, we still had not received the wine. Instead of being apologetic the waiter was rude and confused claiming we did not place the order with him when we did. We were told the appetizers would be comped after the ridiculously long wait. when we received the check we were still billed for the appetizers and then had to send the check back. Overall, terrible service that needs serious improvement."

"It has been said if you want to understand and learn about a culture, you should eat their food. I like Jamaican jerk chicken, I like rice and peas, also known as rice with beans. The flavor of the Caribbean, found with the bahamians as well as the Haitians. Those flavors are to be found here. The people who waited on me were very friendly and inviting. I went here for lunch with a friend he had the oxtail he remarked that it was very good. I had the jerk chicken with the barbecue sauce on it. Understand they put barbecue sauce all over the plate not just on the chicken. So if you ask for barbecue you better love barbecue sauce because they put lots on it. You should try this place you may find it to your liking."

"I've been coming here for years, but honestly, the quality has declined. They now charge for even the smallest things, like sauce for your rice or jerk sauce for the jerk chicken—it's almost amusing! I ordered takeout and they forgot to include utensils. When I called to let them know, they told me I didn't ask for them. Since when do I need to specifically request utensils for takeout? It seems like basic courtesy to include them, regardless. This feels like a greedy move on their part. I wouldn't be sharing this if they hadn't been rude when I called. The food is okay, but definitely overpriced. They also no longer include plantains in your meal because that's now an extra charge. Do yourself a favor and choose another place to eat."

"This place and its service is as bad as the neighborhood and the location. I placed an online order, received confirmation, amount charged to my bank account, received pick up instructions and when I got there, the guy told me he didn’t have any orders, on top of that he didn’t even try to solve the issue, not an apology, didn’t even offer to place a new order, didn’t even ask what I ordered. The guy was rude and told me to figure it out, turned his back on me and left me at the counter. I guess this is all you can expect from this place: bad service and rude, mediocre staff."

"The cumbia brunch is AMAZING!!!! Probably some of best Mexican food in the valley is right here with a pretty fun soundtrack. This is our second time here and everything has been out of this world good. The chef here understands heat and the spicy isn't just spicy, it's flavorful. We are on out second trip and have eaten most of the menu and there is nothing I wouldn't recommend. The sauce on the baked eggs is one of the best things I've eaten all year- we got extra tortillas to make sure none was left. The tacos, both the vegetarian and meat option were perfect. I know it's just a pop up, but seriously this chef has struck gold and I for one will happily follow him into his inevitable brick and mortar someday. The service is also wonderful and the drinks were delicious. Definitely recommended adding a Tajín rim to the Mexican mimosa. Forgive the bite out of the taco in the picture, we couldn't wait"

"It is a great little place tucked back in the corner of one of the alcove shopping sections. We were hunting for some ice cream, and several places were busy or hot inside (looking at hour RMCF). We caught The Crown right before they closed that night. The ice cream was excellent, and we enjoyed a decaf Americano. It was so good we returned the next day for a midday coffee before leaving town for Denver. Both Americanos were good, and the Almond Cake was enough to share."

"I was looking forward to tasting the food at this spot for a while but my excitement was short lived. I wanted to order their pasta but it was catering style (no problem), they have curry shrimp and that’s one of my favorites so I was pretty excited still but not after I ate some of it. 2 stars for the service because there’s no indication for what’s available and the person taking my order told me it wasn’t available but didn’t even bother telling me what was. If I didn’t assume they had curry shrimp I probably wouldn’t have ordered anything and walked away. Might have been best in this case because I pretty much tossed the food away after eating the shrimp. the cabbage was good, rice tasted weird, shrimp was ok, and the plantain were a disappointment."

"I've been going here for years..mostly because they're the only place that sells decent West Indian food in the area. I suspect the business has survived because of a lack of competition. I've never had a bad food experience with them and have no issueswith the quality of the food. My chief issue is that they do not offer online ordering. The location is in a very busy part ofNew Brunswick so parking is always a problem. They went to a cash-only model, which is really antiquated. Thank goodness there'sa bank right across the street. A lot of the negative reviews about in-person customer service, parking and wait times can besolved by allowing people to order using Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc. P.S. the spotty availability of plantain for a West Indianeatery is truly shocking."

"If I could rate a zero star I would. Cashier didn't know anything. Had food up with no price. Had to ask several times. The 1st time I had it food was terrible and over priced rice tasted burned. Just not good so I decided since it has been over a year since I had it. I decided to try again bit ordered cow foot soup. Over priced for what I got. I got broth with dumplings no cow foot but a small bone. Not happy wont ever go to it again. I will stick to fireside off covington hwy they are the best authentic Jamaican food. Please don't go unless you don't mind wasting your money."

"The white girl behind the counter is so unprofessional!! The owner rectified my issue thank you so much sir. I have no name for the white girl all I know is she will cost you money if you continue to let her work for you. Nasty nasty attitude. I will not recommend or will I return. When I got home my order was wrong. The fried chicken and. Curry chicken very dry. The festivals were not very good. The beef patties had to be thrown in a fryer to cook them longer. We drove all the way across town to get disappointed!! Never again!!"

"We were very excited to try the Blue Marlin from reviews we’ve seen. I have to mention our initial reaction was a little sketchy when we first entered and encountered the hostess. She looked at my family (including me, my wife 2 adult daughters) and asked… “What can I do for you?” with an unwelcoming look on her face we interpreted to mean What are you people doing here? If we weren’t celebrating my wife’s birthday I probably would have left. She brought us to our table, literally threw the menus on the table and said someone would be with us. THANKFULLY, our server came and was super friendly. Everything else went well. The food was pretty good and seemed fresh. We also enjoyed the atmosphere. The only other slight disappointment, though not a big thing, was I mentioned my wife’s birthday to our server but no special recognition was afforded her. Would probably like to return and try it again."

"we loved the sacred shiitake pie veganized. we were also very impressed by the pacific rim veganized with vegan cheese and balsamico tempeh instead of meat. there are some delicious vegan options here, kreatiw with their orders kudos to mellow mushroom for a pizza chain that has been vegan cheese for many years! I wish there were more of their signature pizzaanine veganized on a vegan menu, the order would be easier for the customer and also the server!"
