"This was an extraordinary meal! Our server Michael was very attentive. I would havee we given a 5 for ambience but there was a table of men who were extremely loud so we had to move tables to get away from the noise but your staff was very accommodating. It was our 29th anniversary so wanted something quiet and romantic so we could talk. These guys needed to be in a sports bar. However, we were moved to a quieter corner which made it better. The bourbon steak, Dover sole and banana foster were all amazing. Thank you for good service and delicious food."

"We are BIG fans of Romaines .. the renovations are beautiful .. welcoming and very nice trendy .. waiting area is awesome!!!! FOOD.. another story .. very disappointed... starters .. calamari was full of batter .. why ruin a good a good thing ... it Used to be amazing Next salad .. where is the Caesar that we loved .. were we the only ones who loved this? Entrees.. oh boy! The shrimp now has a funky red sauce ..And the haddock was very dry and .. might be better as a fish and chip Overall .. Romaines is no longer a fine dining restaurant it is more of a bar and you should go there expecting a burger or lighter fare ..it's something the area might need but you should not be paying the price of the older Romaines and receiving a lesser menu We never minded spending a larger amount for dinner and a great bottle of wine when the food equaled what we paid .. but now I will still be a fan of Romaines but know that I should keep my food choices to the burger or fish tacos They changed the look and the menu but they forgot to change the name .. not Romaines anymore"

"The food was fantastic, except for the vanilla bean crème brûlée, which didn't seem to be made with fresh vanilla beans. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the service; I didn't realize it was apprenticeship night at Caprice. I shouldn't have to ask for a steak knife with my filet, nor should I be left guessing where the oil or butter is when bread is served. My waitress struggled to open a bottle of wine, and when she finally placed the wine cooler in front of me, she just set the bottle down and walked away. Although a more experienced waitress stepped in to assist, it wasn't quick enough. Overall, the service felt more like what you would expect in a sports pub than a restaurant of this caliber. It's disappointing that such a high-quality restaurant wouldn't hire or properly train staff to match the excellence of their food."

"I came to this restaurant for a work lunch and found the food to be quite good. The beet salad was particularly impressive as an entree, being very filling despite its simplicity with just beets and arugula. I think it would benefit from the addition of tomatoes and more veggies. I also tried the truffle fries, which were tasty even though they were missing Parmesan. The garlic aioli was well-seasoned and a good complement, with the garlic flavor not being too strong. For dessert, I had the cannelloni, which was just okay and not something I would order again as it didn't suit my taste."

"Fortunately, we were lucky that day, as everything turned out to be delicious. I chose a Reuben sandwich since I wasn’t in the mood for a hefty meal, while my companion went for the scallops. For our appetizer, we ordered clams casino, and every dish was spot on, right down to our martinis. The restaurant was buzzing with people, but we were seated quickly, as most others preferred outdoor seating, which worked out perfectly for us! Our server, Luke, did a commendable job. He seemed a bit inexperienced but made a genuine effort to take care of us. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service was a bit slow. There were plenty of young staff hustling to do their best, but if the kitchen is sluggish, it’s not entirely their fault. Thank you for a wonderful meal!"

"Regrettably, we didn't have the opportunity to try the food. Our experience mirrored that of others. After confirming a reservation for a birthday celebration with out-of-town guests and battling traffic in Stone Oak, we arrived only to find a note on the door indicating that the restaurant was closed. It seems they only open when they have enough customers or when it suits them, as I noticed at least two other reviews mentioning similar experiences. It's a shame because the food looked appealing in the photos."

"June 22,2022 5:45 pm Having recently moved to this area and making new friends in our senior living facility. My wife and I were invited to dinner at the Stephan Anthony 's restaurant in Marlboro. Having heard positive comments from other residents in our facility about this restaurant. We gladly accepted the invitation. Upon our reservation arrival time. Our party of eight was promptly seated in their roomy/ comfortable dining area. Our waitress was cheerful and pleasant. And understood that we all would need sufficient time to look over the menu and select among their offerings. However, the difficult decision we each faced. Was making the final choice of what meal we really wanted. Pouring over each descriptive meal in itself was a mental challenge. Every meal was more appealing than the previous one. My wife and I had several choices that we were focused on. But there could only be one meal that could be the winning dinner for this dinner. My choice was the Sausage Alexandra . Chicken tenderloins with Anthony 's House made Italian sausage, sautéed roasted peppers, and mushrooms, deglazed with Pinot Grigio and garlic. Tossed with bow tie pasta. A large house garden salad was also selected. My wife 's selection was the Roast Turkey dinner. Hand roasted and carved turkey breast, atop homemade sausage stuffing. Served with pan gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable medley. Servings were hearty. Food presentation was very nice. Food quality along with taste was very good. Price was very reasonable for what you received. Everyone in our party were very satisfied with their meal choices. And the service of the wait staff. If you are in or travelling in the area. Please consider visiting this establishment for a delightful and filling meal. My wife and I look forward to trying many more (if not all) of your menu choices. "Went here for an early Valentines Day dinner as I was traveling for work the day of. It was a fairly busy evening, not packed, but certainly not empty. Upon entering, we were politely greeted by the host, and lead to our table. We were then quickly greeted and served water and bread with a delicious olive oil dip. For an appetizer, we both had the French onion soup which was flavorful and nicely portioned. I ordered the seared tuna with noodles and baby bok Choi see picture) all was perfectly cooked, and delicious. I probably would have preferred a few more pieces of Tuna as I wasn 't totally satisfied, but it wasn 't a small quantity either. I may have just been hungry that night. My lady had the surf and turf special with NY Strip and a Lobster tail that was delicious $70). All of the beef I believe) is dry aged for 40 days, and it was flavorful, tender and quite delicious unfortunately no picture for that). Served with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and string beans/carrots. All in all, it was a delicious meal and a nice evening out. I 'd come back again."

"Its now called Ace of steaks and it is terrible. Do not mistake this for the previous (1718 restaurant) in the same location. I had hoped it would be as good or better, I was wrong. Service was rushed from the beginning and did not improve even after I said something to the hostess. Appetizers we had the steak tartar shich was sub par, the bone marrow and calamari were served cool. I ordered the lobster bisque which was the consistency of 2% milk and almost the same color never mind the disappointing flavor, it was sent back uneaten along with the apple salad that was off color and bitter. The $100 Wagyu ribeye was ordered medium rare it served medium, it was chewy and not worth the cost. The 6oz. Fillet was ordered medium rare it also was overcooked. We ordered Brussels sprouts, scalloped potatoes which had an off flavor and again they were both served cold. Two of our five guests did not eat anything but the over baked rolls and the server finally asked if anything was wrong and I told him, so he remove some but not all the offending items from the bill. Several other tables were sending back food or asking for management/owner but he never showed up I suspect because he(the owner) was entertaining friends at a “chefs table” One table canceled their entire order and left. When we were leaving I again told the hostess it was a terrible experience overall, I asked for the owners name(Michael) and when he would be available she was not sure and told me to call tomorrow. This is not the old (1718) under new management. Not good, not recommended and I am not going back."
