After a lengthy wait, our food finally arrived. My wife’s and son’s dishes were hot, but my Palak Paneer was lukewarm, necessitating a return trip to the kitchen for reheating. Despite this, the flavors of all the main dishes and bread were very good, and the extra bowl of Basmati Rice was enough for us to have leftovers by the following lunch.
Since the soft drinks come in cans, there are no free refills. I ordered another Orange Fanta and was offered only a Diet Coke as an alternative, so I opted for water instead. Seriously, what kind of restaurant runs out of soda?
The men's restroom was bordering on filthy, with a dirty toilet and toilet paper strewn across the floor. I would have waited if possible, but nature waits for no one.
In summary, the service was mediocre, the food was delicious, but we were unable to order at least three items we wanted, needing to resort to substitutes. The restroom's cleanliness was poor, and the decor was unremarkable. This is a chain restaurant with 28 locations across the US, Canada, and Australia; I believe corporate should be more vigilant about their establishments. Overall, this dining experience was below standard, and I would not return to any Honest Indian Restaurant.
