"There are many excellent pizza places nearby, and Avellini is definitely a great choice. They serve delicious food in a nice atmosphere, located in a pleasant area. The pizzas are impressively large, about the size of my torso, and they taste fantastic. While their specialty pizza options are somewhat limited, they do offer a good variety. The crust stands out with its burst of flavors and delightful texture. I tried the Sicilian (which is my least favorite but still worth sampling), along with the Margherita, a chicken pizza, and a vegetable pizza—all of which were delicious. While it may not be my absolute favorite spot in the area, it's undoubtedly a very good option, and the service is attentive. I recommend giving it a try!"

"The service at this restaurant is outstanding. They cooked my spaghetti in a delicious sauce and the portion size was generous. The chicken parmesan on a plate with cheese was beautifully presented and cooked perfectly - tender and flavorful. It felt like I was dining in a high-end restaurant rather than a pizzeria. I give it a 10 out of 5 stars and would highly recommend it to others. The staff is friendly, attentive, and the restaurant is always clean. I've been to many pizzerias and restaurants, but this one stands out. It's clear that they take their job seriously and are dedicated to providing excellent service. "Thoroughly upset with this place have been a customer for over a year . Since February I have had nothing but problems. One of my orders was 2 1/2 hours late because the driver broke down and didn’t report to the restaurant. Apparently this is what I was told so somebody had to remake my food and then bring it out to me. Another time ordered subs. They were completely soggy and missing like half of the ingredients to the sub, so I had to have the order made and brought to me again next time they forgot some of the order the person had to go and bring it back to me. Few times ordered after, the deliveries have taken a ridiculous amount of time to get to me (over an hour and half) I usually have to call the restaurant and ask where the driver is where I’m told about 10 minutes then 10 minutes and then 15 minutes and then 20 minutes goes by and then I have to call them again and I’m told something else. Food just arrived salad is massively soggy and warm. My croutons are soggy like they’ve been sitting for over 40 minutes before arriving to me. My sandwich was also soggy because the delivery driver decided to take over an hour to deliver it to my house when I am only a few minutes away, needless to say. I’m thoroughly aggravated and I will not be ordering from this place any longer."

"Still a 5 star pizza! Hands down on of the best in NJ. However, the price of $10 for a SIDE salad (one person salad) with just lettuce and 2 cherry tomatoes is ridiculous. Gave us paper plates to eat a salad with oil vinegar? Was not busy for dinner on Mother's Day....maybe because the staff, especially the owner, isn't too friendly.I will definitely come back only for the pizza."

"Terrible, incompetent. Thought i was doing them a favor and using their online system. An hour later get an email my order was rejected. Finally get to speak to Pete an I 'm told they don 't deliver until later this afternoon, meanwhile YOUR website said 11:30. When i mentioned that and how i was immediately charged upon submitting the order, i was told called the company to get my money back. Don 't waste your time."

"In the beginning, our experiences at this restaurant were fantastic—both the food and service were outstanding. However, during our last three visits, the service has really declined. The waitstaff takes our order and delivers our food, but then they disappear and don’t return until it’s time to give us the check. There are no drink refills, and we’ve had issues with our tea orders being mixed up. When we request wheat pasta, it’s often undercooked and never served on the same plate as the rest of the meal. On our last two visits, when we pointed out the problem with the wheat pasta, the owner came over to explain the differences between wheat, whole wheat, and white pasta. But we specifically ordered wheat pasta for a reason! Unfortunately, we’ve decided to remove this restaurant from our list of places to enjoy a meal. I can prepare better food in my own kitchen in less time."

"I would rate this restaurant 3 stars. Initially, I was leaning towards a 1-star review because places like this tend to be either really bad or quite good. This one fell somewhere in between. The bruschetta was decent, and the Caesar salad was fine. However, the Weddington soup was extremely salty and inedible. The garlic knots lacked any garlic flavor, and the veal Parmesan was also overly salty. After that meal, I think I've consumed enough sodium to last me a lifetime!"

"I understand why many have given this place a 5-star rating—the food is genuinely good. However, have you ever stepped inside? To call it filthy would be an understatement. The floors, walls, door handles, and even the phones are all greasy and dirty. They have dirty shoes stored in the seating area, which makes me wonder how they managed to get any positive reviews from NYC. It’s not hard to guess that the kitchen is likely in the same condition. Additionally, I echo what others have said: the person behind the counter is unfriendly and doesn’t even acknowledge a simple greeting."
