"Classic Westside Establishment! There is a reason it has been in business since 1960. Their fried chicken is on point as expected, though, not the best I have ever had. My dad goes here for their chicken livers, mock turtle soup and sweet tea... that is some old school American food you do not find at many places. My daughter went crazy over their chicken and waffles. She made us go back a second time before leaving town to get them again. On one of my visits, I had the Bourbon BBQ burger and it is one of the best I have had this year! My son had the fish and chips with waffle fries and he was not disappointed. Some of other things I really loved here where their green beans and Saratoga chips with homemade BBQ sauce. On the negative side, they need to up their salad game. My wife ordered a salad with fried chicken... the greens were very basic and it was sloppily put together. The inside of the restaurant has been remodeled over the years and there is plenty of space, a bar areas and lots of TVs. They have a fried chicken buffet some days after 4:30 OM if that is your thing."
