"last Friday night had a fabulous dinner in danville harvest. we had a fairly early reservation (6:15) and there were still many open seats when we arrived, although not so much to the time we left. we waited a little longer than I 'd like to arrive before our server, but once she had us, the service was friendly and attentive. they offer a great selection of cocktails. I went for the maratime (rum, aprikosenbrand, falernum, kalk and sherry.) from falernum never to hear a year ago, I now know to order every drink that contains it and has not been disappointed and the maratime has not disappointed either! eating is a bit small plate style, but I argue that most of the main stations were very generous! we started with the mac cheese croquettes, who swears everyone out very good ground! there was also a portion of four generous, but I just would have eaten more. the truffle friars were delicious, although the parmesan cheese usually fell from the fries. for the net, my wife had the pesto tomaten gnocchi, very fresh and tasteful. I had the short nativity that was excellent! there was a sweet crispy car to the outside while the rest in my mouth was melted. so good! we even splashed on dessert: chocolate brownie cookies (big and melty warm) and cream bubble. that's worth it. this is a great place in the heart of picturesque, in the interior of danville. Don't miss it."

"I may have given this place a great review last year but somehow it has fallen into the pit since our last visit. Been a year, came back to the quaint town for our anniversary. Noticed not many people dining. Soon found our why. Tried ordering three different beers that were on the menu but was told they were out. Was told no beef shortribs, I came specifically for shepherd pie, was taken off the menu. Ordered queso dip and chips, pork belly Ramin and a coke. Wife got here usual house made Tahini Cesar salad with blackened chicken. It took 45 min to get appetizer. It came clumpy, thick and cold with about 18 chips. When asked, the waitress said even the cook said something about how thick it was I ask why he didn't thin it out, her response was he is the only one in the kitchen. Forward another 20 min wait for food. My so called pork belly ended up being 6 small nuggets of meat in some muddy off flavors broth, with less Ramin you would get out of a package from the store. Egg had a disgusting flavor. I ate the noodles and meat in 3 forks full only because I was starving by this point. My wife's chicken was blackened alright. Literally black, Tahini dressing that used to be awesome was completely off in flavor. When we addressed all this with the waitress she just blamed it on only one cook. Only 3 tables had people, one cook can most certainly take care of that. The couple next to us got there appetizer within 10 min. I can tell you we will never be back, which is sad because we ate here all the time last year when we were here for work. Price per person: $20–30"

"The best dinner I have had in a very, very long time. Visiting from Florida and heard that the new chef- Chef Robert is doing amazing things in the kitchen so I had to stop in. Visited on a snowy Vermont evening and was welcomed by a caring and attentive FOH staff, and sat at an amazing table between a window overlooking the snow covered yard, and a warm fireplace. Service was excellent from start to finish with excellent cocktails and a killer beer menu. but I am here to talk about the food. Steak tartare with black truffle, duck confit (with beet roses *unreal presentation and taste and an order of the smoked mussel toast, all beyond exceptional, and very appealing to the eye (Chef Robert could have done well as an artist. As it was a slow night due to the heavy snowstorm covering VT with nearly a foot, chef sent out a special black truffle omelette for each guest, I could have died happy after this dish, but there was more to come. Next was our entrees- 28 Day Dry Aged NY Strip, Bluehouse Mushroom Kings, and the Calibrian Kale Salad. We showed our appreciation to the kitchen by prewashing the dishes with our spoons, everything was so amazing. Poked my head into the kitchen on my way out to thank the BOH team, and was amazed at what they had put out with such a small and humble staff. I cant wait to revisit this summer when I return to Vermont. If you love someone, take them here and thank me later. Thanks to Chef Robert and the team for an amazing memory!"
