"My family and I will never return to this location. Although the food tasted old and the beverages were subpar we planned on staying to celebrate my Mother’s birthday. The Manager on duty at the time was extremely rude and condescending. We simply asked for my Mom’s non-alcoholic beverage to be exchanged. My Mother asked a number of times and no thing was done about it. The server was new; we understood and remained patient. Time passed and we asked the manger about it and he said plainly ask your server. Time passed again and I excused myself from the table to speak directly with the Manager. His response was you saw your server ask him. I said excuse me aren’t you the manager? Clearly if we received what was requested a number of times I would not bring it to his attention again. The Manager rudely stated I have 5 other things to do. At this point I said ok no problem. I let my family know at this point we needed to leave. However we wanted to pay for what we had. The Manager then walks up with a drink in hand after we decided to leave. I said no it’s too late for that we’re leaving but we’d like to pay for what we had which at this time were drinks a few appetizers. He then says it’s comp’d and goodbye. I would like to make it clear the server was not our primary reason it was the behavior of the Manager that escalated the issue. His communication skills are lacking as well as his customer service. As a brand he does not make Benihana look good. We ended up going to the Edison location where the service was excellent!"

"This was a recommended restaurant by Lakeland locals, so we decided to try it out. The interior gave an ambiance of a candlelit dinner and the menu was very appealing to all palettes. We ordered the Jambalaya, Blackened Shrimp and Grouper w/ French Fires and Coleslaw, Chicken Jolie Blonde w/ Smashed Potatoes, She Crab Soup, Cresent City Cobb, Crispy Calamari, and the Chocolate Ganache Cake. Portion sizes we well worth the price and enough to share among two people per plate. The food was well seasoned and very flavorful; we had a great experience and would definitely recommend that you visit when in the Lakeland area! Jambalaya: The Jambalaya was very flavorful with the right balance of salty, spicy, and rich! The portion was more than plentiful and almost takes you back to New Orleans. Blackened Shrimp and Grouper w/ French Fries and Coleslaw: This dish is absolutely delicious and a seafood-lover's dream (although we did expect there to be more shrimp for the price). Chicken Jolie Blonde w/ Smashed Potatos: The chicken was perfectly cooked and not dry as restaurants generally make it! The sauce was rich and added a perfect balance to the dish! She Crab Soup: Perfect mixture of sweet and spicy! There was plenty of crab chunks in the soup and the seafood flavors were punchy and fresh; definitely a recommended place to enjoy this Charleston staple! Cresent Cobb Salad: The salad came in a huge portion that we shared among all four members in our party. The vegetables tasted fresh and each element was perfectly made for a delicious salad! Crispy Calamari: The flavor was good and the calamari was crispy; the sauce that came with was delicious as well! Chocolate Ganache Cake: The cake was most, but a little too sweet and not as rich as expected. The vanilla sauce that came with it was to die for, though!"

"we went to this place, based on the photos on opentable. the price was $42, about $7 higher than advertised. I was shocked when I came to the buffet. no beautiful seafood paella, zuppa de pesche, shrimp scampi, smoked salmon, steak, carved filet mignon and no chocolate fountain. our protein choices were tasteless shrimp (five available) and hard chewing gnocchi (as much as they want), baked chicken, meatballs in tomato sauce, and mahi mahi the texture of gum. the carving station was dry Turkish breast. that is for protein. but there were plenty of kartoffels, french bratkartoffels, roasted kartoffels and pure white rice. hysterically funny was that the marchmallows, reis crispy tasty, strawberries and pineapple bites on long-lived sticks were all displayed, but there were no chocolate fountains to immerse them. the foods available were completely unusable except for the meat balls. was insulting when the waiter came over to take our drink order and I asked for iced tea. No, only softdrinks. I can't tolerate any carbonated drinks. I had the opportunity to ask a cup of coffee with dessert. No. I was told I could go to the fast market in the hotel lobby and buy it there. I'm complaining to the host. his answer was that the menu changes daily. I complained that the chef stood outside the kitchen and asked him where the food was depicted in the display. He just smiled at me. a huge tourist trap. avoid them at all costs."
