"We had the pleasure of dining at Dio Deka last Saturday and Sunday evening. We were staying at Hotel Los Gatos and had a reservation for Sunday but decided to see if we could get in on Saturday last minute... even though they were very busy... they squeezed us in. I heard wonderful things about Chef Kevin and I couldn’t wait to dine here and he didn’t disappoint!! Both nights our experience at this charming restaurant was excellent! Starting from Service... Saturday with Jeremy and Sunday with Daniele. Both took very good care of us and both went over and beyond. The food, wine cocktails were absolutely Amazing! Some of my favorites Starters Warm pita bread Yum!Grilled Octopus very flavorful and tender, not chewy. Craving it right now!Scallops perfectly cooked and delicious. Crab Cake I am not a fan of crab cakes. The few times I have had them they are so dry and bland, but not this one! You actually taste the crab and tastes so fresh. Delicious!Village Salad I ordered both nights. So refreshing with chilled cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, bell pepper, olives, and a block of feta... I know it’s just a salad, but it’s the best! For the Main course Airline Chicken Mary’s chicken so tender and with great flavor. Osso Buco I heard this was Chef Kevin’s Grandma’s recipe. I didn’t try it but my Hubby said it was stars Truffle Burger I did try this one and it has to be one of the best burgers I’ve ever had!! Tons of flavor! As for the desserts... I honestly don’t know what each one was but they were all delicious and made to perfection by Chef Enzo This place is stars all the way! It definitely did not disappoint and I can’t wait to go back!! I highly recommend"

"We had date night dinner reservations here on Saturday night January 8, 2022. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation. We are always astonished by how seemingly complex and difficult it seems for the hostess to decode their iPad and determine whereto seat a party of two who has had a reservation for a week, but once we got past that we were seated at a nice table. First, this place is in a hotel moderately upscale multiple dining options throughout the hotel, this one being the nicest. For themenu prices, we thought it would have been a bit nicer if they created a bit more of a dining room/cozy feel, possibly closingthe curtains that are open to all hotel guests walking by whether they have yelling children or if they are dragging a redigloo cooler. There is a nice bar located centrally in the restaurant but an unfortunate placement of a light fixture impedesviewing of the televisions hanging around the bar, we thought that was odd. Still however, we had a great server named Hunter. He was prompt and courteous and all too ready to answer every question about the menu. My husband had the halibut and said itwas great and cooked very evenly throughout. The bar ran out of Woodford reserve and he was subbed another bourbon withoutupcharge. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and I have to say it was the most delicious I have ever had and I would return to thisrestaurant just to order this again. This is a 8 on the 1 10 scale. Yes recommend. Please find a way to create an intimatedining experience in this restaurant and it will be a literal home run"

"Sparrow is a rooftop lounge and restaurant, but the atmosphere felt completely off. There are both indoor and outdoor seating options, depending on your mood and table availability. When we visited, the indoor area was dimly lit with loud music blasting from the speakers. This prompted us to request an outdoor table—not by choice, but out of necessity, as we struggled to hear each other. We found ourselves leaning in and practically shouting to converse. The outdoor area wasn't much better; while the music was at a more manageable level, speakers were still present. We were seated in a corner spot, which was decent, but during my visit, there were no views to speak of that would distinguish it from any other sit-down restaurant. The outdoor seating did not meet my expectations; the chairs were quite low, and the high walls obstructed any potential views. Whether sitting or standing, it was impossible to see anything outside. The indoor seating, however, might offer a different experience, as I noticed floor-to-ceiling windows that could provide a nice view of the city. As for the food and drinks, we tried a couple of cocktails, which were fantastic. We also ordered truffle fries, and they were crispy and delicious. The service was excellent, and I have no complaints in that regard. They do offer valet parking, but since I found a spot close by, I opted for street parking instead. Overall, I would recommend visiting Sparrow with some considerations in mind."

"After enjoying the wide variety of established Medure brothers restaurants, we were excited to try Midtown Table for a birthday lunch with friends. When we walked in I couldn’t help but notice the beautiful decor. It’s bright, think light not obnoxious, and not crammed in crowded. Off to a good start! The menu offers a wide range of options that all sounded great. We ordered the truffle fries for a shared table starter. While the fries were cooked to perfection the amount of salt was off putting. No real truffle flavor could be found through the mound of salt. Yikes! We forged ahead. My hubs got the white pizza, friend one had their hand cut fettuccine and added chicken as well as shrimp. Friend two ordered fettuccine Alfredo. As for moi, I had the chicken Cesar salad. Everything came out in a timely manner and all together. Love that! Hubby said pizza was good but needed more sauce. It had almost none at all. Both pasta dishes got happy thumbs up. And know a chicken Cesar is not an exciting lunch option but hey, I’m not 20 anymore and have to watch what I eat! Hehehe I was really let down by my choice. I had really high hopes as this IS a Medurs establishment. The lettuce was crisp and cold, the tomato’s fresh and plum. The chicken was hot and beautifully grilled. My mouth was watering! I couldn’t wait to taste my salad. The chicken was indeed grilled to perfection but I think they must have used all the salt on the fries as there was so little seasoning on my chicken it was surprisingly and honestly a let down. The reason I give 3 stars is the food. The brothers are well known for amazing food and this didn’t deliver. I wish it had as everything else was great! I wish I could remember our servers name since she was a joy! I can tell you she wears a unique necklace with a pearl in it! If you can identify her please give her my sincere kudos! We may give midtown another try for dinner but not any time soon."

"First, when I made the reservation the indication on Open Table was that there was limited availability. As soon as I made the reservation, I received a phone call from the restaurant that very aggressively wanted to make sure that I was sure I would be able to make it and that I would be there on time. They did make me aware that there was a limited menu, however they could not tell me what was on the menu and told me I should check the write up in the local newspaper for the Best Places for dinner on Valentine's Day for the menu. We arrived about minutes early and the restaurant was basically empty. We were seated immediately. The restaurant slowly filled up over the minutes that we were at our table, but nowhere near filled up to justify the limited reservation times and initial call to confirm the reservation. From there they had a limited choice of wine by the glass and the one my wife chose was per glass with a very small pour. The appetizers were good. Both my wife and I got the crab cakes. The entrees were poor. I had the half smoked chicken and it was over cooked and very dry. My wife had the beef tenderloin and it was also overcooked. I got the red velvet cake for dessert and it was average. Fortunately my wife got the creme brulee and it was good so we ended on a fairly positive note. Big disappointment for what you would expect from a high end hotel restaurant and a Valentine's Day dinner."
