"The food was fantastic, although the appetizers were hit or miss. The grilled calamari was great. The mussels were good too. Unfortunately, the oysters had very sharp shell shards hiding in them that are easy to miss until you accidentally slurp one up and chew it or cut up your mouth. Thank god nobody swallowed one. Beware. The drinks were good too, and the steak was outstanding. We got the porterhouse for 2 and the filet mignon was perfection. The service was okay. Restaurant was fairly empty when we were seated and then ramped up as the dinner rush started coming in so I can understand if the servers got busier and less attentive. They were quite slow to bring bread to the table, slow to bring the dessert menu, and they didn’t honor our request to sing happy birthday to our friend when his dessert came — which is no issue on its own, but we asked if they can do it and they said yes! Then they just didn’t. All in all a great meal, great atmosphere, and o.k. service. Hopefully there is more bread the next time we dine here."
