"We traveled from Oxford CT to meet up with cousins. It took a long time to get there. The reception was lovely as the bar is nearthe door and the barkeeper could not have been nicer. The service staff was ver attentive and eager to answer all the questions we had about the menu. As my cousin had brought wine we opted to drink that as well as a lovely bottle of Prosecco. The corkage fee is high at 25.00 but reasonable if you check the wine list. As for the meal, we had fried calamarie which was crispy and there were no legs. It was served with a light redsauce and a tasty white sauce. I hadthe lasagne bolgnese which was enough for a take away box. My husband had the squash raviolis which, for the price,nwas a bit skimpy. My cousins shared the wedge salad and said the dressing was outstanding. One had the scallop dinner which was also skimpy for the price, the other had the pork melanaise which she lijed but did not rave about as it was not prepared in a way she was accustomed. This is a or more place but then, it is New Canaan. Just sayin."

"I went here for the first time. I ordered a 1/2 lb of hard salami and 1/4 lb of ham (shaved). This small amount cost me $12. I got home and found the ham sliced thick, not at all like I asked. The salami was regular not hard salami. I thought I would get better service and quality at a deli. I think I’ll just stick with food Lion, at least they follow requests."

"I never like leaving less than stunning reviews, but Scooters was disappointing. After hearing from a friend they have some of the best wings, my boyfriend and I had to try them. They were the only okay part of the meal. Even then they were just okay. I ordered the sliders and my boyfriend ordered a a Texas Burger. Both were so dry. The buns were cold and dry. The burgers only come with set amounts of toppings. They believe that too many people ask to take away things, so none of the burgers come with stuff to avoid taking it away by just not adding it at all. Our server was inattentive the whole time. We sat for 15-20 minutes waiting for a check, then waited for her to come back to get the card, but she never came. The host (maybe an owner? ended up cashing us out and having great conversation. Sadly, we left hungry, really disappointed, and with an expensive bill considering how expensive the food and drinks were. "Made reservations for my girlfriend 's birthday. The place was fairly empty and we were seated and given menus. We picked out three entrees and two appetizers and waited 15 minutes for our waiter to come and take our drink order and another 15 minutes to receive our drinks. The waiter came back 5 minutes later (now 35 minutes without even taking our order) and said that he should have told us earlier, but 3 of the 8 entrees on the menu were no longer available. 2 of the 3 were the main entrees that we intended to order and there was nothing else on the menu we wanted as substitutes, so we left our drinks, got up, and walked out. I called the manager on the way to another restaurant. He was apologetic and offered to make it up to us if we wished to return after they got through a week of growing pains. I told him I would have been happy to do that if they had notified us of the issues up front instead of wasting 35 minutes of our time and leaving us very little time to get to another restaurant as most places close at 9 pm during the week and it was already 8:15 pm at this point. We won 't be going back."

"On a positive note, our server was attractive and attentive, especially given that we were the only ones dining in the restaurant at the time. I always strive to be honest in my reviews and give credit where it's due. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this place—save your money and dine elsewhere! If they can't get something as simple as steak right, I have my doubts about everything else on the menu. It felt like I was robbed, albeit with a smile! They might want to reconsider their kitchen setup and focus more on the drinks because if their cocktails are as poorly executed as our steaks, patrons would leave sober!"

"I had the worst experience with service at this restaurant, regardless of how many times I've been there. It doesn't matter if it's just me for lunch, a quick coffee, or if the place is packed; they simply can't seem to get it right. While the atmosphere is charming, the service is consistently awful. As for the food, it’s just average—nothing special that would make you want to rave about it. It’s the kind of healthy options you could find in any typical California restaurant, which frankly isn't impressive. Some might suggest that I should just head to California if I want better food. However, I'm not from California; I travel across the U.S. and believe Austin still has a long way to go in matching good service with quality and creativity. At least they're making an effort, though."
