"My mother brought me a shawarma from this restaurant. Unfortunately, there is no place near me where I can get a shawarma, so I was excited to try it. She requested a small cup of hummus on the side, instead of inside the pita, so I could reheat the food when it arrived. However, they refused to accommodate this simple request. This lack of customer service was disappointing. If they could put the hummus in the sandwich, why was it so difficult to provide a small cup of hummus on the side?"

"First and foremost, I don't believe the dining experience justifies a 20% gratuity. The ambiance, cutlery, and service left much to be desired. Considering its location in downtown Millburn, the atmosphere was quite disappointing. The dining cutlery was also quite basic. On the positive side, the food was flavorful and the service was good. However, the portion sizes are questionable. For example, the chicken shawarma appetizer consists mostly of one pita and hummus, with a minimal amount of chicken, priced at $14. Overall, it's suitable for takeout, but I don't think it offers good value for money."

"The food was absolutely wonderful, and I also had the chance to try the cardamom coffee, which was an incredible experience—I've never tasted anything quite like it. The staff was very friendly, which was a nice surprise considering the location. If you're in the area, you should definitely drop by, or even make a special trip; you won't be disappointed. For those who prefer to stay in, I believe they also have DoorDash available."

"I celebrated my birthday this past Sunday evening at Hapisgah with six family members. We were seated promptly, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Our requests were met quickly and with a friendly smile. Every dish we ordered was delicious—my New York rib steak was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender, while the other main courses were well-seasoned without being too spicy. "When you split a sandwich and the other person says …”Where did this come from because it’s outrageously good?” AND now you clearly want the other half back … well that’s the start of a great review. I have driven by this place for maybe four/five years and the curiosity got to me the other night. Every other deli in the area closes early afternoon but there was Soho Kosher Deli open and it was around 7:30pm. I wanted some soup. There were three options and I wanted a chicken vegetable which was available so I didn’t even entertain the other two. They were both heavier. One was a split pea and the other more on the stew side. The soups were part of a well stocked hot bar. A lot of options there but I honed in on the cold deli counter items … a stuffed cabbage and a stuffed artichoke thing that was better than the cabbage. This is where the sandwich comes in. I was simply checking out (buying my items) and the sandwich making guy “strongly” suggested I try a sandwich. “They’re all great” he said. “Which one you want?” How could I pass that up? So I ordered the brisket on rye as it was listed on the menu board and ate it hot and fresh Thursday night. Here it is Saturday afternoon and boy do I wish I had that other 1/2 to nosh on. My wife too asked me to pick-up another one BUT I need to wait til tomorrow, Sunday! Needless to say, I will be back and I will be trying other menu items."

"The restaurant no longer serves the great salads it used to offer. They've started mixing the tahini with too much water, and the mango pickles are also very watery. Each day, the quality seems to decline further. I'm considering trying different places instead. As for the falafel, it's very mediocre."
