"The ambiance is semi dark and the music is basey. The servers wear all black and the atmosphere is sorta like a dressed up vampire lair. We weren’t impressed the first time we came here, but now we knew what to expect. The steak and the salmon we Excellent. We will come back again."

"We came on New Years Day. They were understaffed because some employees did not show up. Food was just ok, but took over an hour to get to our table. Manager did comp a couple of dishes, be we were lucky to have the amount of time for everyone to eat. By the way, there are really no reservations there."

"The lobster siu mai, pork belly bao and duck tacos were very tasty and very filling. Each order was bigger than we thought, and fortunately the waiter held back our order for the Beast wonton knowing that it may be too much food. This is very unusual for a waiter. Will go back soon for the Beast and the grilled squid. Highly recommend the Lucky Belly for people who want to taste something different."

"Hau Tree Lani is a favorite of local fine dine customers. Relaxed atmosphere , great food and set. Right on the beach there is just no better way to enjoy a meal whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. A we dined on a thanksgiving diner (outside and spaced apart- safety first) we were informed that the restaurant was closing and reopening under new management. French cuisine. I hope they didn’t try to fix something that is not broken. I wish them well. And hopefully they will improve on a already great restaurant."

"This place is horrible. Incredibly overpriced for bad food and really bad service. We tried dining on valentines day. They seated us right away and then ignored us. They were not busy. Waiters kept walking by and no one stopped. I had to go in to find someone to take a care of us. The bisque was not good and the chicken was dry. I want my money back. OpenTable should be ashamed of the good reviews on this place and it should be delisted. Stay away!!"
