"Now, on to why I'm giving them a 4 instead of a 5. They have a punch card system where you get a punch for each coffee purchase, and I was informed that you receive a double punch on Wednesdays. However, this past Wednesday when I ordered my coffee, the manager was at the register and refused to give me the double punch, claiming I must have been misinformed. I wasn't upset; I just accepted it.
Today, I ordered a cold brew coffee ($2.15) and a breakfast panini ($3.99). This time, the manager wouldn’t punch my card because my sandwich was under $6. Yet, my total was $6.69. To receive one free sandwich or salad, you need to accumulate 16 punches, which means spending at least $96 if each item is around $6 or more. This seems excessive for just getting one free item!
It feels like the restaurant is being overly strict with their punch card rules. Why should I have to spend approximately $100 to earn a free sandwich or salad? In my opinion, any food purchase should count towards that punch card. I'm really taken aback by these rules. I had previously stopped going to Land of a Thousand Hills to come to this place, but now, knowing their approach to customer loyalty, I'm reconsidering my choice.
On a positive note, I've included a photo of my panini and coffee, both of which were good. So I appreciate the quality of the food and drinks."
