"We almost left the restaurant at first. My husband took me out on a date for our very first time at STH, and it was a Saturday night. We were told there would be a 20-minute wait, but it ended up being just 15 minutes. After being seated, we noticed the waitstaff cleaning crumbs from tables onto the floor and chairs. We waited... and waited... and waited. Nearly 20 minutes passed with no service. My husband and I exchanged puzzled glances, wondering what was going on. He eventually spoke to Noah, the front of house manager. Meanwhile, waitresses were attending to tables next to us and behind us, but no one even acknowledged us. To add context, my husband has years of experience as a manager for Darden Restaurants, so he knows the ins and outs of the business. We were definitely unimpressed, because service is crucial! The server who overlooked us missed out on a potential 30% tip. Noah eventually approached our table, apologized, and took our drink and food orders. We had enough time to review the menu thoroughly, so I appreciated that he would be our server for the evening. He engaged us in great conversation and made sure our meals were fantastic. He truly made up for the earlier misstep! When our food arrived, it was hot and delicious. We started with the Canyon crab flatbread appetizer, which was delightful. I ordered the Roman parmesan-crusted chicken topped with mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil over mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. My husband opted for the Crab Stuffed Shrimp and the French Quarter dish. I couldn’t resist trying some of his crab-stuffed shrimp with the spinach, and wow, it was superb! Noah checked in on us to see how everything tasted, and I told him my food was good, but my husband's dish was even better. He graciously brought me a few crab-stuffed shrimp on the house, and they were absolutely delicious! By the end of our meal, we were stuffed. Before we finished, Noah asked if we wanted dessert. My husband and I exchanged glances because we were incredibly full. Noah then shared a lovely story about his grandmother’s famous carrot cake, which made us rethink our decision..."

"My first time eating here. 1 Star service turned to 3 Star!! Read below. Covid: Staff wore masks. All tables were not available to create social distancing space Staff: I arrived at 1220pm and stood at the door for 4 mins before anyone greeted me. I began to walk to look for seating as I was not sure if it was seat yourself. As I walked to a table I wanted to sit at then a waiter came over. I told her the table I wanted to be seated at which needed cleaning. She said it would be a minute. 5 minutes passed before someone cleaned the table. Mind you there were hardly any guests here at this time inside or outside. Service: After being seated for at least 15 minutes no one came to the table to ask for my drink order or if I wanted anything at all. More time passed and I 'm starting to rethink eating here. If my friend wasn 't on her way I would have left. A bartender, Paris, came over asked if I wanted anything to drink. The BARTENDER!!! NOT THE WAITER FOR MY AREA. So thank you to her. I asked for the manager in the process of waiting for service. Manager: The manager came over which I wasn 't sure if he was the manager because he had on the serving apron as the wait staff. He said he was the manager so far . I didn 't understand what that meant. I explained my issue and all he said was he was going to see about it. I told him that it is no excuse that I 'm not serviced for drinks while I wait for my other guest. He said you are right and he would check on it. Then he walked off. There was no apology from the manager. About 2 minutes later a waitress came out, said she was new and took my drink order. Bartender Paris I have to acknowledge this woman. Gave great recommendations. She gave initiative to service us outside of her own work area. Professional, kind, great personality, friendly, approachable, smiled, and a hard worker. If it wasn 't for her great attitude and kindness my temperament in the establishment would not have gone well. The beginning of my time here was unpleasant and she turned it around. Thank you Paris for your service! I feel when someone does well please acknowledge them especially during these times of uncertainty! Food: Lobster Mac n Cheese It was decent. It could have been cheesier and maybe presented more like advertised. Miso Glazed Salmon (Presentation Needs Improvement) Loved, loved, loved it! Paris recommend with the butter for the rice.....soo good!! Salmon was cooked perfectly. It pulled apart perfectly. Bison burger Burger on the small side but my bestfriend said she enjoyed it and it tasted really good adding extra sauce that comes on it as it wasn 't much on the burger. (There was a mix up with our order with a different table but it was rectified) Sooo ended up staying for happy hour. 3 1/2 4 hours here...I haven 't seen my girl since July due to being cautious of Covid so we had a lot of catching up to do ‍ and well needed. ‍ Anyway LOL a different manager, Courtney, came to our table and introduced himself. He was very polite. He said that he heard they were busy and took awhile for them to service us. I told him that they were not busy and the small amount of people that are here now was about the same when I arrived. Come to find out the person who spoke with me earlier was the kitchen manager. The manager Courtney was swift and acted quickly to discuss the issue with his staff from earlier. I definitely appreciated his candor. We also made sure to acknowledge Paris being that she being the bartender took the initiative to service us outside of her own work area. We ensured for him to know how professional, kind, and knowledgeable of the menu Paris was."
