"Been wanting to try this place since moved close to the area. We love a great go to pizza joint and was hoping this would be it. Went for a late lunch so we missed the lunch crowd. We were almost the only ones in the place. Super cool ambience. Decor and vibe was exactly what we love to see and feel in a place. Decided to sit at the bar and try a couple of local breweries. Tried the Rockhound ipa and the Peace pipe ipa. Rockhound was better. Staff was very friendly and attentive but we were the only ones for the most part. Bathroom was very cool, I loved the full length mirror. The whole place had exactly the cool vibe you'd expect from a college town. Decided to create our own pizza with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, and jalapeños. The jalapeños were fresh cut instead of jarred or pickled and we appreciated that. Came out looking good. First slice I had, the dough was a little more crunchy and charred than I like, but the following slices had just the right amount of chew to them. Toppings were good, but the sauce lacked a little. Didn't have that fresh tomato zing you like in a good pizza sauce. If I'm being picky, would have liked a tad more cheese to bring it all together. But overall it was good pizza and put it in an atmosphere like they got going on along with the beer on tap selection and it makes the pizza better. We will definitely be back. I'd like to try one of their specialities like the meat sweats perhaps."

"Our server, Allie, was very friendly and helpful. We began with the complimentary focaccia bread, but it was surprisingly served cold. Typically, focaccia is offered at room temperature, so this was a bit unexpected. While it was tasty, I would have preferred it to be at least mildly warm. For an appetizer, we ordered the Autumn Caprese, which was light and flavorful. However, the main courses were nothing special. The ravioli tasted like something frozen with an excessively oily lemon sauce poured over it. The baked penne was okay but small and somewhat chewy. The prices were on the higher side, with each dish ranging from $20 to $28, and I was hoping for a more authentic taste than what we received. Additionally, I had contacted the restaurant beforehand to ask if I could bring a dessert for my boyfriend’s birthday dinner. The owner assured me that they would provide a complimentary dessert and told me not to worry. I was anticipating this, and our server even acknowledged it was my boyfriend’s birthday. Unfortunately, there seemed to be a communication issue, as the complimentary dessert never arrived. We were presented with the check less than an hour after we were seated, and I felt a bit bad for not trying a dessert, as I was waiting to see what they would bring out. We ended up paying and went to another local restaurant for dessert instead. It wasn't even busy at the time, so I'm not sure why they overlooked this. Another thing to note is that Cornicello is located next door to Astor Manor, from which they presumably source their food. This made me wonder about who is actually responsible for the cooking here, since the staff were frequently moving in and out of Astor Manor's kitchen. I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately, given my experience this evening, I won’t be returning."
