"Too dark for ASL users to see. Loud too. Even my hearing aid didn’t help. Chicken was dry and over salted. Why all the salt. Gorgonzola was one piece in salad and pears were soft. Coffee was so old it tasted burned. Not talking about Italian coffee, because that is strong. This was burnt. W Overpriced for value. Need to modernize interior. Outdated. When we started comparing these dishes to other restaurants, we knew it was not a memorable gustatorial evening."

"We have visited this restaurant over ten times in the past year because it’s conveniently located and offers delicious food at a great value. We're familiar with the wait staff, and their service has always been good. However, the main issue is that reservations are often disregarded; regulars who come in without a reservation get seated promptly, while others, who aren’t favored by management, can end up waiting over an hour past their scheduled time. This was particularly frustrating during our last visit, and as a result, we are likely to look for a different dining option in the future. I hope the manager takes this feedback to heart and makes some necessary changes."

"The food was quite good, and we would definitely return if we find ourselves in Chicago again. As first-time visitors, we found the setup a bit confusing, especially since they don't inform you that not all items from your order are picked up at the same place. For instance, if you order pasta and hot dogs, you'll need to go to different windows to collect them. Additionally, getting a drink refill isn't a smooth process; you have to cut in front of others waiting for their food to ask for one. While the staff were generally friendly, the cashier didn't provide much assistance and seemed more focused on moving people through the line, even though there was no one behind us. On a positive note, the interior was quite interesting, featuring vintage car parts and other antiques in the central area. Overall, it was a decent spot, and the kids really enjoyed it!"

"Very disappointing especially for what First and Last charges for their food. Dasher service was great but the veal Parmesan grinder was not. There was barely any veal or cheese on it (at least 1/3 of the bread was just....bread), no peppers, not toasted and not cut. The lasagna was missing the side salad as advertised and the pizza was supposed to be a The Margherita Pie with add ons but somehow we received the sweet pea. Dasher waited at First and Last for a long time. Obviously the order wasnt even started when it should have already been completed. Never again."

"I absolutely love George’s! When I was a kid, my family and I used to visit frequently. My dad would always order the steak and cheese, which is the best, while my mom opted for the grilled cheese with tomato. As a picky eater back then, I would stick with the hotdog, but theirs was always the best! We live just a minute away and come here every week! I can’t get enough of the grilled chicken Greek salad. But what really stands out is how friendly the owners and staff are. I adore George’s, and I think you will too!"

"I used to eat at Papa Angelos, when it was in a different location, back in the late and I remember it being pretty good. I've been planning to go back and try it again and finally made it over there today. My first impression of the pizza was disappointment. The toppings were on top and it didn't appear that there was even any cheese on it at all. When I took the first bite I decided the crust was pretty good but as I got further into the slice, disappointment set it. "The quality of food and service at this restaurant is clearly declining. Having visited Portillo's hundreds of times over the last few decades, I know exactly what to expect from a meal there. However, during my visit to this location last Saturday night, it was evident that the high standards I once associate with Portillo's have deteriorated. There were three of us at the table, and one of our orders was incorrect. Our food was left sitting and getting cold while we waited for the onion rings to finish cooking. Once the onion rings were finally ready, they began to fill the drinks. By the time I brought the food to our table, it was only slightly warm. I noticed several employees standing around doing nothing while we waited for our order. There's a new Portillo's opening closer to me, and I'm hoping it will be better. I plan to avoid this location in the future."

"This is my first Google review for Portillo's, even though I've been here many times before! Portillo's is a must-visit in Chicago! Each restaurant has its own unique style, but they all share the classic diner atmosphere, complete with catchy pick-up order phrases, friendly staff, and a few long-time employees. I forgot to snap a picture of my order this time, which included a Chili Cheese Dog (I should have ordered two!), but I can't overlook their famously large frosty beer chalices—the picture really doesn't do it justice! I remember when these used to cost $3.50 (or even less) years ago, but $4 or $5 isn't bad at all. Portillo's never gets old and is always a great choice. I usually go for a Jumbo Dog, and their Plant-based Garden Dog is quite tasty too! Don't overlook their Tamales, which are underrated. From the Barnelli's menu, I always order the Chopped Salad (of course, without the Ditalini pasta). And you can't skip the Chocolate Cake—it’s a must, along with their Chocolate Cake Shake!"

"Stopped at this Amato's Store to get a small pizza for my daughter and I for lunch. I placed the order and paid. The cashier told me the wait time and I began waiting... and waiting. Finally, after waiting for more than 2.5 times longer than I was toldit would be, a staff member acknowledged me and asked what I was waiting for. After I told her she turned to look at the ovenand informed me that it was my pizza that was coming out of the oven. While the other worker cut and boxed my pizza the personthat was helping me then informed me that the added wait time was due to one of the ovens not working and that it hadn't beenworking all day. It seems to me that it would make sense to inform the customers of this detail when they are placing theirorders instead of telling them the usual wait time. Right? The pizza was good though. "I recently had lunch at this restaurant and had a fantastic experience. The price per person for a meal was between $10 to $20. The food was fantastic, I would rate it a 5 out of 5. The service was also excellent, I would also give it a 5 out of 5. The atmosphere was lovely and inviting, also earning a 5 out of 5. I highly recommend trying the Cheese Pizza and Onion Rings, they were delicious!"
