"I give up...not coming to this location again .......This is my third time getting a Rancher plate there..... thought I would give it one more try...... there was only a dash of potato salad...about 3 tsp and the coleslaw had no dressing on it....none.... it was dry shredded cabbage with some herbs there was no vinegary taste no sugary taste no creamy taste no taste at all except cabbage.... very disappointed it's the second time that has happened but the third time that the potato salad was next to nothing inside the little container I will definitely go out of my way to go to another one that I've been to before that I know I've never had that problem with..... I'm paying for less food here."

"No, Bill Miller isn't good by modern BBQ standards, especially as they don't cook their BBQ on site. But it's great for what it is a quick meal served efficiently. This location isn't too far from my office and it's rapidly becoming a favorite lunch option for me. Whether it's the chicken tenders or the brisket poor boy sandwich, it's better than fast food. The service has been fast and friendly. There's plenty of condiments at the condiment bar. And finally, their iced tea really is that good, especially since this location has big slices of limes I think the success of this location stems from the always present management staff I see at lunch. I appreciate what they're doing with this location."

"After reading a few unfavorable reviews, we hesitated to try Bill Miller BBQ until now, but we were pleasantly surprised! The fried chicken is less salty compared to many big chain restaurants. It's fresh, crispy, and absolutely delicious. We also sampled the ribs, which were fantastic on their own with the dry rub, or paired with their tangy BBQ sauce that balances flavor without being too strong. The sausage link was excellent, and the thick, hearty fries complemented the meal perfectly. To top it all off, we indulged in a pint of peach cobbler. While I would give a slight edge to Harmon's for pure BBQ, which is about 10-15 minutes away, Bill Miller offers a lot of variety and convenience with its multiple locations. The service was quick and friendly, so we would definitely return without hesitation!"

"I love Bill Miller and visited this location three or four times during my couple of months living in South Austin. I fondly remember eating at Bill Miller as a college student in San Antonio and had only eaten at one once in the last eight years because I moved to a different part of the state that doesn't have them. I had been warned that they no longer have the big portions from before, but I still found myself having a hearty meal and couldn't always finish it. The brisket, potato salad, cole slaw, and fries are as delicious as I remember. The seating area is clean and the bathrooms are too. Staff was friendly. Can't wait to go back once I'm back in the area!"

"Here I am again, despite promising myself I wouldn't return to this location. This is now the fourth time I've visited this specific spot, and each time they repeat my order at the window yet still manage to forget multiple items. I ordered extra gravy, extra BBQ sauce, and extra fries, and none of the add-ons were included—once again. I've mentioned this before, and I mean it when I say I will NEVER come back to this location. I've written these reviews hoping someone would address the inconsistency and performance of the staff here. I’m not looking for free food or a refund; I simply want the items I ordered. I do acknowledge it's partly my fault for knowing about the employees' issue with accuracy and still not checking my order, but I shouldn't need to do that at any other location. I've never had to leave a negative review for any other Bill Miller's because generally, everyone knows their reputation, food quality, and what to expect. However, this particular location has really tarnished that reputation. Take a moment to read the reviews; I'm not alone in experiencing incorrect or incomplete orders."

"Trying to find options for eating fast food that are heart and diabetic friendly can be difficult but at Bill Miller it was easy for a change. I had the new Turkey and gravy plate with their signature green beans and dressing which was unbelievably moistand delicious! Hubby had the salad delight with 1/4 grilled chicken. His only complaint and I agree, their salad keeps gettingsmaller and smaller basically it's a side salad size. They use much more shallow containers which give you the illusion it's thesame size as years ago. The young man working behind the counter was polite and helpful. I noticed all employees seem veryhappy and they all greeted every customer who entered. Many knew the regular customers by name. I saw the manager on dutywalking the dining room and helping behind the counter. Very clean restaurant and pleasant environment. I was thoroughlypleased we chose them for a late Saturday lunch. Customer service was spot on excellent!!! Ty"

"It 's a great hearty meal. IF THEY BOTHER TO DO IT RIGHT! When you go thru the drive thru, pick up your breakfast, and go home with your order, you are stuck with what the store gives you. Too busy to be able to go all the way back for the store to make right what they should have do e right the first time! Since the pandemic, I have noticed, sadly, that they don 't bother to care what goes out the drive thru window. This Helotes store in particular! The bean and cheese taco was so sloppy, so little beans!!! It 's just beans! And then, the hash browns. The amount of potatoes can 't be right. But if what has been going out the window is what you are selling, I 'm not impressed, nor am I interested! BUT WORSE, the manager listened to my story, then promptly said, Enjoy your day. And hung up! WELCOME TO THE NEW BILL MILLERS! DON 'T BOTHER P.S. This is about the 8th or 9th time this has happened. I wish it was a one-off, but it seems not. Very sad!"

"This location was very busy however the energy and customer service received literally puts a smile on your face. Dine in orders looked great and staff made sure everyone was being helped. They did get one taco wrong but I was happy to have to go back in, how ironic. The taco was replaced in a snap and the icing on the cake... Young lady at register said very sorry we didn 't get that right, have some brownies for your troubles. The experience literally set the tone for a great day. Wonderful job??"

"During my last visit, I noticed a little bar with warm buns that I hadn't seen before. It also had steamed white onions and jalapeños. I'm curious if every restaurant varies depending on the neighborhood. I witnessed a homeless woman walk in and grab an empty cup from an unbussed table to prepare herself a meal. She filled a plate with six buns, a mound of onions, and butter, then went around the room gathering fries from other unfinished plates, claiming her free refill in the process. She even asked me if I was finished with my pecan pie, so I gave her the rest, as I was flying home later that day and had bought three pies to take with me. I regret not snapping a picture of my chicken dinner, but I did get a shot of the pie – just $1.99 for a slice! My son said his brisket was amazing too."

"My new review (ZERO Stars : NO BRISKET????? REALLY????? Y 'all gotta do better than this. At LEAST put up a sign before the drive thru so I didn 't waste 10 minutes to leave without ordering because YOU HAD NO BRISKET!!! My original review (5 Stars 1 lean brisket taco, 1 bacon and potato taco, 2 pico, 2 salsa, sweet tea with limes, $6.37. ... several times a week, through the drive through. There are rare occasions that they have no lean brisket (in which case I ask them to trim the huge chunks of fat off the moist they happily oblige or pico de gallo (half the reason I eat there! because the early morning truck has not yet come by the time I get there. There is RARELY a mixup in the order (1 time in 6 months , and the drive thru line is very efficient. There are occasions where there may be 10 minutes wait to get to the window, but the lane is almost always flowing fairly quickly. Hat 's off to the woman who works the register most mornings this David Special really appreciates you! Update 3/13/22: The lack of brisket was a 1 time thing. The samples of pico are just as likely filled up for one taco as they are almost empty needing 3x that for a taco. The Drive Thru Cashier has changed, but the current one is just as friendly and personable. I still love my weekly breakfast taco. Oh, and it is Easter season when I have to endure lemons until y 'all start carrying limes again after Lent is over I love my sweet tea with lime. Keep up the good work."

"Ordered 2-4'S adda strip got charged for it but didn't receive again this has been bout the 5th time lately big time messing up almost every time we go and we go alot sorry used to go every time we order no matter what 1 or both of our orders is wrong iv lost alot of money on wrong orders.i think this was our last visit the drive-thru people don't check their orders to keep from hold up line. I make a 28 mile round trip every time not anymore thus was our last visit and I will be posting this on social media to check their order before driving away. Sorry but enough is enough"

"We placed an order and paid over the phone, only to discover that the restaurant does not accept payments over the phone. The manager eventually came out to assist us, but was not only brusque, but also disrespectful towards his staff. We waited for about an hour to receive our food, only to find out that our order had not even been started. Despite checking on our order multiple times, we were assured that everything was in order. The staff were friendly and helpful, but it seemed like there was a lack of organization among the employees. The manager eventually took responsibility for the mix-up, but was still rude when confirming the name the order was under. While we understand that mistakes can happen, the service could have been much improved. The sandwiches we received were poorly made and did not match the pictures."

"Credit is given where it is due! I literally pulled in last min for quick small dinner! I have to say the cashier was super friendly and assured me she was making some fresh fries and not giving me the old ones! I appreciated it so much! Generally people would be quick to close/leave/be rude/give me old fries and send me on my way. However, she was complete opposite! If only there were more workers in the industry like her! Its hard these days to go to any establishment without dealing with something gone wrong. You made my night girl! It's the small things that count!! Receipt says D T Bell.
