"I've used White Oak Gourmet four times now. I had ordered some food to be picked up at their Long Grove location at the recommendation of a friend. The food was really good! We were going to a concert at Ravinia Park and wanted a nice, elegant, and cold or room temperature meal. Hot food would not have worked. I spoke with Lori and she helped me put together a nice menu for 10 people. Salad with roasted beets, a smoked salmon entree with vegetables, and some excellent desserts for everyone to share. All of the food was nice and fresh, tasty, and didn't need additional seasoning, which is great. We supplied our own beverages. The next couple of times I used them, I did their pick up meals for the week. I travel on business a lot, and don't always have time to cook. I had a friend coming in from out of town and while we'd be going out to dinner a few times, I thought it would be nice to have a few friends over and hang out, so I ordered dinner for six and picked it up. This time chicken was on the menu. Again, fresh, tasty and everyone liked it. I've also had White Oak Gourmet cater a party for me. My boyfriend's birthday party. I had them cater cocktail party with a dinner buffet, They had waiters pass little appetizers, followed by a really nice dinner and dessert. I have been super happy with the service White Oak offers. Lori and Tom Leavitt have really great service and menus. I like that they make suggestions because I don't know what goes with what and they make it easy. The best part is the fact that it is all fresh and doesn't taste like deli carry out. I'll continue to use them and couldn't be happier with them."
