"Greek Cod was the name of the dish on the Specials list and it was a simple compilation of grilled red and green peppers, onions with a side of sliced grape tomatoes and slice black olives topped with feta cheese beside two grilled cod fillets in a light lemon/garlic sauce. It was wonderful! You just don't expect this type of fare from a restaurant masquerading as a pizzeria!! Our server, Kim, was attentive and efficient as always!!!"

"My friend and I decided to try it out as we heard they recently opened. “Unique” would be a good word to describe the vibe. The decor is a mix of ethnic and modern accents. I immediately noticed the elephant with its trunk up and facing the door. Hopefully it’s bringing the establishment much good fortune!The coffee was good, but not the main attraction. Not surprisingly, the menu is extremely healthy. We split the Fresh Start Omelette (Organic eggs, tomatoes, portabella mushrooms, monterrey jack cheese, red onion, bell pepper, spinach). It was healthy without compromising the taste. My favorite was the multigrain pita bread that came on the side. It was warmed, really soft, and really yummy! Leave it to me to like the carbs. Lol. When I go back, whatever I order, the pita bread has got to be included.Overall, it’s a great option in a great town to grab a healthy bite to eat. Try it out and let me know if you like it."

"This place is nice, but it gets super busy there are times when our server did not come back to check on us or we were left without drinks or food for 10 minutes. They served us old mayo, and there is a comparison photo with the yellow mayo being the one from the waiters pocket, and there is a white mayo which was one that I think was kept refrigerated and then when we asked for new mayo, he kept giving us the ones from his pocket and then finally went back to the kitchen and gave us a mayo in a cup, which was still old you can tell they use the expired mayo even in their coleslaw because of how it has a yellow tint to it the food was hot. It was OK."

"Finding a truly "legitimate" health restaurant in the Middlesex district can be a challenge. I had expected this place to be just another one that claims to be healthy but isn't. However, I was pleasantly surprised by their extensive menu, which features a variety of vegetables and other nutritious ingredients like avocado. Everything I've ordered here has been well-balanced and fresh. They use spinach and arugula for their salads instead of the usual iceberg lettuce that most grocery stores offer. "This is close to my house and was excited to try it. The service is extremely hit or miss, there is a male server who was very nice and gave a solid experience but the food wasn't so great. A second time a female server who was incredibly awkward anddespite asking for some time to decide our order, she hovered at the table asking if we were ready 5 times in a matter of about3 minutes. The food is pretty decent; however, there are more consistent diners in the area that also provide a betterexperience. "I live in Florida and made a wish list of restaurants to visit during my trips to New York. This place was on my list, and it didn't disappoint! All the food looked delicious, and I think I might need to make more trips to Stamford instead of just New York. I was really impressed and super happy that I came here to try their amazing food! "I stopped by Jack's for some great food, and as always, it didn't disappoint. I've been coming here for over seven years, and the experience is consistently excellent. This time, we ordered the Pot Roast and Chicken Marsala with polenta, both of which were fantastic. What stood out most, however, was the exceptional service from our server, Karla. She took our drink orders almost immediately after we were seated and returned promptly to take our food orders. We didn't have to wait long, which was great since we were starving. Kimberly, one of the managers, kindly asked us to move over one table to accommodate a large party of 12. To show her appreciation, she offered us dessert on the house. Kimberly was incredibly gracious, and we decided to share the crème brûlée, which was as good as any I've ever had. Jack's continues to impress. A big thank you to Karla and Kimberly for making our visit special."

"Paid 10 pp for reservation for an igloo we got there about 5 min early and were not seated until 20 min past our reservation. Not 1 person approached us to tell us they were running late. Then we sat for dinner .Do not get the spinach dip. You will regret it. It's more of a sauce than a dip... we have both been sick all day and it was the only part of the meal we both ate. And questioned. We even had another reservation 10pp that we made for today to take our kids we won't be back."

"My wife and I got a lamb and chicken gyro with a large fries and a drink. Total came to $35, expensive but not unreasonable I guess? However, the large gyros are just two of their small gyros wrapped together. If you 're going to advertise a 10 inch wrap (that 's what was told to me) then it should have a 10 inch diameter, not two 5 inch wraps added together. Also, the meat seemed to be pre cut or pre processed in uniform sizes rather than sliced off a spit. The flavor was alright but lacking in quality and quality. Wouldn 't recommend. On the positive side, nice crispy fries with some old bay seasoning and great service from the gentleman working the counter. I might recommend trying some of their other sandwiches but not their gyros. For the math nerds out there, 3.14 X 2.5^2 X 2 just under 40. 3.14 X 5^2 just under 80... Where 's the rest of my pita?!?"

"This was our second visit to this restaurant for dinner, and fortunately, we arrived early before the crowd. I ordered the fetters with Italian sauce, while my wife chose the Prime Rib Special, which came with asparagus and a baked potato. We started with the Calamari Fritti and the Burrata Salad, topped with arugula, prosciutto, roasted peppers, capers, olives, and a balsamico pesto dressing. For dessert, we had Tiramisu and a Limoncello cake. The Tiramisu was fantastic, but I was less impressed with the Limoncello cake. The service was excellent, especially as we watched the Tigers and the Phillies when their season kicked off. It was a bit on the pricey side, but overall, it turned out to be a wonderful Friday dinner after a long, exhausting week."

"Let me start out by saying the food is great but the owner is absolutely one of the rudest people I have ever spoken to. He will not give you his name and will argue with you over a missing salad dressing. I will also state a large group of people place these orders as least weekly and have placed thousands of dollars worth of orders in 2023 alone. We will now be looking for another local pizza company that will be grateful for our business. Good luck to the employees who have to work for such a terrible individual. Good luck to the customer in their food being right, don’t call and tell them anything is wrong as you will be the problem and just get yelled at and hung up on.Response to the owner: it was not mayo it was blue cheese dressing which we did not find, you hung up on me and I called a second time after you refuse to let me speak to Nikki or Amber. You seriously are terrible and can’t even get the information correctly as you don’t care. Little do you know those thousands spent there in 2023 were on my credit card and myself and others will not be ordering from such a terrible business owner. You may still have other co workers order there but it will be very few and orders will be very minimal for 1-2 people. It’s very amusing that you are trying to make yourself look good by lying in the review and to literally yell at a customer over “blue cheese” and hang up on them. You clearly are too big headed of a business owner and just remember who pays your bills, the customer. Good luck with all your future business"

"I scouted this place alone to sample the food service/ to find a new weekly lunch meeting joint for a large group of traveling colleague. Here was my experience I ordered a salad asking to exclude any onions,,, my waitress brought the salad with a large amount of onions piled on top of it. I did not see my waitress after dropping off my order. Not once to ask if I needed anything in the 30 minutes I was there. I had to flag down a busboy for napkins and then walk to the front reception to request my check when I completed my meal. I was given a single napkin with my meal order. That’s what I said, a single napkin. No tables had any napkin dispensers on them, including my own. The turkey cranberry panini sandwich was a disappointment. It was basically a turkey sandwich slightly toasted. I talked to the manager after my meal to relay my experience I wasn’t met with a sincere understanding of my experience- instead my bill was credited a couple of bucks. I think I will pass and continue looking for a new place."

"Top Notch, boys and girls. Whether you're herbivorous or omnivorous, Downtowner 's has something unique and delicious for you. I'm not vegan or something, and I'm not just saying my credibility as a restaurant reviewer, but also to get Downtowner's vegan menu that had meals tantalizing enough to win over a few carnists like me and my father. To my surprise he ordered vegan nachos with Cashew-Queso and even claimed he liked them. I went for a spicy Thai grilled cheese that had cooked veggie spring rolls directly between the grilled bread. Real strange things, but I want to experiment, our beautiful waitress recommended it, and in the end I was happy. I regret that over the Seared Ahi Sliders, although who ordered my brother, looked absolutely amazing. Mom had a 50/50 burger and said it was excellent. I would also like to say that the Pommes were in best quality, not sog, all you want in a fry. I also ordered an Icelandic white Ale that came in a glassy glass and was so exquisite that I learned something new about me: I love white Ales. Even Downtowner's water was particularly good, self-service and of course essence with your choice of cucumber or lemon lime. I also appreciated the varied music they played that contained some punk. As for art on the walls: scenic natural scenes that have a great impact on your expectations of the city skylines. And the service was also killer. Our server was friendly, patient, funny, helpful and very easy on the eyes? Another, maybe the cook, came out and checked us once, but no one was overlaid or something. We only drove through Stockton, but from what I saw, the downtown could be the best part of this city. Top Notch, boys and girls."

"I stopped in on a whim early on a Saturday night. The bartender's beer recommendation was spot on and, while they had many healthier offerings, I went for a simple burger and fries. All quite good. The music started at 7 with a band I'd never heard of The Bad Backs a really talented ensemble that I genuinely enjoyed. This looks like a great place to play especially for those of occasional musicians among us who mostly play for friends. Or just gather a bunch of friends and listen to whoever's playing there now. "I tried to take my family here for lunch because I was here several times by myself. I'm white and my family is multiracial. I never had a problem when I came here alone. Through his body language, his dirty appearance and his lack of even offering a menu while he helped cheerfully every other customer, the man behind my wife's counter gave a clear mood that she had experienced many times before as a black woman - that she was not welcome. We knew we had to find another restaurant for lunch. My 2 year old daughter was hungry, but we had to go while she cried and cried that she wanted lunch. This man was the first to hurt my two-year-old biracial daughter with his racism. Unfortunately, it won't be the last time, but that doesn't make it less shameful. I'll never come back, and I won't advise anyone with a conscience, either."

"My family members and friends and I have eaten here many times over the years. Here's my A Votre Sante review update. It's a highly popular place with residents in the West LA Brentwood area, lots of houses surround the little shopping where the restaurant is located. Prior to their merge with the restaurant next door in May 2008, A Votre Sante was more veg-friendly. But since the merge, more meat dishes have been added to its menu, including red meats, and that's a bummer for pure vegetarians to see. However, the vegetarian and vegan options are still on the original menu. We like: the vegan blue corn pancakes available at breakfast brunch time only, the mediterranean platter, the falafel wrap and platter, the tostada, the burrito, and sometimes the tofu and brown rice plates. The other wraps that are vegetarian are usually pretty tasty as are the vegan soups. And there is always a good selection of vegan desserts. Prices have gone up a bit also, but I guess that goes with inflation and the times. Still a good choice when in the westside."
