"The person on the phone made sure to remind us that they were about to close and urged us to hurry. We were only 10 minutes away, so we arrived a bit early, but I still had to wait a few minutes for our food to be ready. I was surprised by the price since the prices listed online didn’t match what I was charged. I also found it odd that the large platter was $25 while the small one was $23, even though they seemed to have about the same amount of food.
Recently, I had Jamaican food that was twice as good, with double the portion size, and almost half the price. As for the food, it was just okay. The mac and cheese was clumpy and lacked seasoning, although it did have plenty of cheese. The cabbage was the highlight. Unfortunately, the oxtails were mediocre—they were oily and had a lot of fat. Overall, I felt underwhelmed by the experience, although my husband thought it was slightly better. I’d say I probably won’t return, but I’m willing to cut them some slack since it was close to closing time."
