"update: 5 stars pros: spacious and pleasant in the indoor and outdoor areas, nice and attentive staff, great presentation of eating, delicious eating great customer service: the salmon of my daughter was raw inside. the manager came on the table, took the plate to show the kitchen. they took the food from the bill. negatiw: the server was not enough to illuminate the birthday game after wind bleeding, and just left. we had to call him again and he looked unhappy he had to light it up again. 2 stars high prices for small portions, high quality food; crispy kalamari was spicy. butter huhn didn't taste like butter huhn at all. service was terrible; not available for asking and ordering, long wait after ordering food, not know English very good"

"I have been to this restaurant before and I visited it again for dinner when we were in the area. I found the food is still very good. The price hasn't changed for many years. Cimpare to other good restaurants at Bethesda, it's cheap. I've seen someone said their waiters are nude in their review. That's not the case for me. However, some other reviews said their bathroom has broken wall with electric wiring exposed. I verified it and it's true. They should fix it. It won't cost them too much money but would make the restaurant perfect. Overall, I rate it 4 stars and recommend anyone who love to try unique food to go there. You will find many special food you cannot find anywhere else."

"I am extremely grateful to Dr. Olaniyi for helping me mend my broken relationship after my fiancée left me for someone else just months before our wedding. I never believed in spells until a friend introduced me to Dr. Olaniyi. "Me and my husband visited Pink Basil yesterday after a short stroll through Olde Mistick Village. The menu was varied and interesting and we had a hard time choosing what to order since it all sounded so good. We ended up getting two appetizers, the curry puffs and pork dumplings. The curry puffs were absolutely delicious and I only wish there were more because I wanted to keep eating them! The sweet and tangy sauce that comes with it adds a great dimension to the flavor. They were flakey and well filled. The dumplings were huge, very caramelized on the bottoms and the dumpling sauce was savory and delicious. For entrees, we went with something similar, the Beef Hor Fun Noodles and the Pink Basil Noodles (with beef). The noodles were perfectly chewy for both dishes and the Hor Fun Noodles we're savory and flavorful while the Pink Basil Noodles were a great combination of savory and sweet with plenty of fresh veggies. The beef itself isn't too chewy, has great caramelization and paired well with the noodles and sauce. The portion sizes were large for the entrees, and we were offered a spice level of 1-4, I believe and I got the Hor Fun in a 1 and my husband got a 2 for his Pink Basil Noodles. The level 1 spice is perfect if you want next to no spice or do not enjoy spice. Level 2 was perfect and what I would choose in the future, as it's a nice building spice that isn't too harsh. Spice lovers will want to go for 3-4! We also got the Thai iced tea and mango bubble slushy drink. Both were phenomenal with delicious flavor and very ripe mango flavor for the slushy drink. The service was great, and we got there right as they opened so we got a good seat. The ambiance and decorations were gorgeous, with flowers everywhere. The building is fairly small and was full for lunch after we got there. I would recommend checking in to see if reservations are available or nessessary during the busy hours to guarantee a seat and I would strongly recommend it if you have a large party. We look forward to returning to Pink Basil in the future to try more of their selection of dishes and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"We had a delightful meal for six, sharing everything family-style. The roti canai was incredibly delicious! The portions were huge, and we had plenty of leftovers for a fantastic lunch the next day. The drinks were great, and the tea was tasty too. A few items were a bit pricier than we anticipated; for example, an extra roti cost around $4.50. However, many of the entrees were very reasonably priced."

"This is our favorite spot for Thai food. We ordered several appetizers along with one main dish, but honestly, the appetizers were so tasty that they could have constituted a full meal on their own. The view of the river and the bridge was a lovely bonus. It's a small restaurant, so the staff is very attentive to your needs. It's become quite popular for takeout, with a designated section of the restaurant just for that purpose. However, parking can be a bit tricky, as there is an attendant directing cars in the area."

"Over the years we've found Thai Chef offers consistently delicious choices of Thai cuisine. The setting tables separated by bamboo space dividers offers a quiet spot to dine along busy US 1 in Penndel. Staff are masked, quiet efficient; menus are available online as well as in paper take out copies you can keep. For our most recent meal, my husband enjoyed his favorite Crispy Duck while I tried their yummy Cashew Nut with Shrimp, Chicken Pineapple. Dessert was Green Tea Ice Cream for him 3 tiny custard cups for me enjoyed every last bite."

"I'm not sure what some of the negative reviews are about. I've been coming to Nooddi Thai Chef since I was 11 (I'm 21 now), and in all the times I've visited—probably hundreds—I have never had a single bad experience. Their food is incredibly flavorful, perfectly balancing sweet and savory. I often bring family and friends here, and everyone loves it. Honestly, their dishes are fantastic. The staff is wonderful as well; they are kind and very attentive. Even though I now live in NYC, I still don't order Thai food from anywhere else because nothing compares to what Nooddi Thai Chef offers. I highly recommend that everyone gives this place a try! "I ordered the chicken, shrimp, and cilantro dumplings in soup, which was served in an adorable cast iron pot (see pic!). I was glad I went for the soup; while the dumplings were delicious, they really shone when I dipped them into the broth before each bite. The soup itself was quite mild, which might be considered pricey for some Americans, but I appreciated that it was easy on the stomach. It was packed with cabbage, thin slices of carrot, and noodles—though I'm not quite sure what kind they were. So tasty! I couldn’t finish my portion, but it was very satisfying. I noticed some reviews mention slow service, but my server was friendly. He was a little slow to take my order, yet the food arrived surprisingly quickly, and he was attentive throughout my meal. The restaurant is located in a nice area too. I definitely plan to come back for lunch!"

"I used to regularly order from this restaurant, believing their noodle dishes were exceptional. My go-to dish was Pad See Ew, which they usually prepared wonderfully, infused with that delightful wok hei flavor. Unfortunately, two weeks ago, I received a bland version that was overcooked and poorly seasoned. I thought it was just an off day for them. However, what I received last night was an absolute disgrace to Thai cuisine. The Pad See Ew was the soggiest and most unseasoned I have ever encountered. The broccoli was the typical frozen kind, with a pungent odor that filled the meal. The noodles were so pale and overcooked that they resembled sunscreen in both color and texture. I genuinely cannot understand how they could serve such a dish and claim it's good food. I couldn't eat it at all, and I'm normally not a picky eater. To make matters worse, the Sweet Chili Wings I ordered were poorly prepared and had hairs sticking out of them. Despite my better judgment, I tried to eat around it because I was starving, but now I’m paying the price with multiple bathroom trips. I suspect poor ingredient management is to blame since the chicken was fully cooked. I am truly appalled at the decline in food quality and management at this restaurant. It’s hard to believe that a crucial person in the kitchen is either on an extended vacation or no longer with the establishment. Normally, I avoid writing harsh reviews because I support local businesses and want them to thrive. I’m sharing this in hopes that the restaurant will improve and to warn others who are considering dining here. I would definitely advise staying away for now."
