If you're in the area and craving a true cheesesteak, I recommend visiting. I recently moved to the Ogontz area and have struggled to find a good cheesesteak since then. At 42nd and Market, you can get a genuine cheesesteak for just $14.00, which feels worth much more.
Unfortunately, the one I bought wasn’t enjoyable at all — it tasted more like cheap steakums than a proper cheesesteak. I couldn't even finish half of it and ended up giving the rest to the stray cat that hangs around my porch. This has to be the second-worst cheesesteak I've had since moving here.
I urge everyone to try Stacy's Pizza; you won't regret it! Please avoid ordering any cheesesteak or steak product from other places, as the quality is questionable. Since the pandemic, it seems that the taste of cheesesteaks has changed, and I often wonder about the source of the meat. When cooking a real steak on the grill, you can immediately smell the rich aroma, but that's not the case here. I really worry about what kind of meat we're being served."
