"After living in Houston for 40 years this restaurants has achieved my worst of all time for all cities I have visited. We had a 6pm reservation and arrived 8 minutes early. The Owner would not let us wait inside and made out leave the restaurant. It was 102 degrees out. My wife told the Owner it was ridiculous we couldn't just sit at a table and wait 8 minutes. He got rude and obnoxious with her. First restaurant we left after 2 minutes. If this post keeps one person from going to this terrible establishment, then the post has been successful. I guess since its a French restaurant they think they have the right to be rude. We walked down to Navy Blue, had no reservations and received great food and service. Avoid Rabelais at all cost unless you enjoy being in France and treated rudely. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"My wife and I stayed here a few months ago and decided to return. This was our second visit since the building was flooded. We started with a jug of sangria and ordered chicken with mushrooms and prawns stuffed with crab meat. Both starters were delicious. A salad was served with the meal. The dining room gets quite noisy but it is worth enjoying some really excellent food."

"My wife and I were here a few months ago and decided to return. This was our second visit since a flood devastated the building. We began with a pitcher of Sangria and ordered Chicken with mushrooms and Shrimp stuffed with crab meat. Both entrees were delicious. A salad was served with the meal. The dining room gets quite noisy, but it's worth the noise to enjoy truly outstanding food."

"Excellent ! We loved the food and drinks! Innovative and interesting menu and the dishes are as tasty as they sound. Four of us shared a sampler starter plate, mantoo, a vegetarian plate, and beef kofta kabob with saffron rice. The portions were plentiful but not huge and had distinctive, balanced flavors. We will be back!"

"This is the second time we've come. The tuna tartare was fresh andbwell plated. The carbonara is rich and very interesting, while the spicy lamb burger is also delicious and quite filling. The dill sauce was a great condiment on the burger. The chocolate mousse is some of the best in the city. Prices are reasonable for portions and quality. Constructive criticism: Service could have been improved; our waiter was fine at first, but quickly forgot about us. I had to wave my arms enthusiastically multiple times to get his attention after our entree was served. After that point he was very gruff with us, as if he saw his tip as a lost cause afterwards. I overheard another woman sat nearby complaining about the slow service as well. We also wish they had the steak tartare, which is one of their signature dishes. It also would be a good idea for the management to update the little menu cards on the table that claim you can get a free dessert by downloading an app and posting about them on Instagram. Our waiter gruffly informed us that it's only one dessert per table, which is not in the fine print. That probably would have been a totally fine revelation, if he had been nicer about the clarification."

"the steak /bone in ribeye was very good and almost price stars. the creamed corn was excellent, stars and french fries comes in stars. our service has rated stars. the prices for the dinge were over price on just over everything, especially cash drinks. but they can handle it when they are a tourist in our city. if they would prefer to attract more local people. my dinner companion was happy with her garnel and grotten. the maisbrot was ok, but not in southern style. I used to eat there. here are the results for this meal. the pork chop was served dry, definitiv over boiled. even if it was properly cooked, the glaze was a bit too sweet and the jazz was a little too thin. with other words, for a main course they should have got two pieces or a thicker cut. the red heaps were salted and the heap bread was more like a muffin and too crispy. probably because of not enough egg in the dough and too much baking powder. as you maisbrot need these recipes work. I complained and they took care of my problems. the service was excellent again. they took care of it right away! I have the braided short rib instead. very good, but, tasted less braided and more like potted on a bone. so I hardly give stars on this teller. it was made with a potato accompaniment that was excellent and made the dish edible. drinks were well made and the barkeepers are excellent! Overall, I would come back to see if improvements were made. the bar experience and environment is for a drop after the work meet and welcome them happy hour!"

"Our table was ready promptly and the service was attentive. When I asked for recommendations, the staff suggested the couscous dish, which was delicious. I also enjoyed the sauvignon blanc. The good service remained consistent throughout the meal and my dinner companions were also pleased with their choices. The only downside was the dessert - the baklava was not the traditional Greek style I prefer and the homemade ice cream was not as creamy as expected. Despite this, I would definitely return to the restaurant."

"Fresh and Delicious Food Excellent service, Clean and nicely decorated restaurant. The food was excellent. Group ordered a variety of items from the menu , quiche, burger, sandwich, onion soup, savory and sweet crepes and everything was fresh and delicious. Presentation of dishes added to making the brunch experience very nice. Wheelchair accessibility: It is right off the street. No steps. Door is wide enough for easy wheelchair access. Plenty of room inside to accommodate comfortable and pleasant experience."

"We placed an order via Grubhub from Tutt Cafe and picked up at assigned time. The order process was not smooth because it got canceled and duplicated when we were picking up our order. The staff was friendly but not familiar with the issues caused by Grubhub which was frustrating. It was fixed in the end by Grubhub but was time-consuming. We had their Green Pitza, Leg of Lamb Plate and Baklava. The food was decent especially the leg of lamb. The lamb was cooked properly with no gamey taste even my husband who hates lamb finished his plate. We were disappointed with their baklava which was not the best in our experience and the filling was way too little."

"The service and atmosphere were very nice, and while the food was very tasty, I have a major gripe. I ordered steak au poivre for my main, a French staple, but I did not receive steak au poivre. This is my favorite steak to order at restaurants and make at home. It's supposed to have a brandy peppercorn cream sauce. What I received seemed to be a demi glace or perhaps a bordelaise. Either way, it had neither brandy, peppercorn or cream in it. It was a dark brown semi-transleuscent sauce with what may have been small chunks of carrots? And while tasty and fine, it wasn't what I wanted, ordered or expected. I didn't say anything to the server because if they got an au poivre sauce so very wrong, I really didn't see a point in trying to fix it because they either thought what they served was fine, or whoever made it couldn't make the correct sauce."

"After sightseeing in Brooklyn, I was heading to another restaurant for dinner but happened to pass by Sultan. After reviewing the menu outside, I decided I might as well pop in. The owner was friendly and the interior was cozy. It was clean and had about 11 tables. The bathrooms were clean but tiny. Interesting anecdote the health inspector decided to visit while I was having dinner and advised the owner that their health permit was expiring today. I had to track down the owner so I could pay and leave. Their credit card machine wasn't working, but thankfully I had just enough cash. Anyway, I ordered the lamb tagine with couscous. The lamb tagine included potatoes, chickpeas, and olives. I wish it included dried figs or apricots, but not sure if that's an authentic recipe. The serving size was generous and it was pretty tasty, but the lamb was slightly on the tough side. By the way, they also served complimentary pita bread with some sort of tahini sauce. Not the best Moroccan food I've had, but certainly not the worst."

"Great for your soul, not for your diet! Came to this hood to help a friend move but I was an hour early. Went to Bistro Francais to grab a cup of coffee and kill some time. When I walked in I felt like I stepped out of Brooklyn and into Paris (well almost anyway). The owners did a great job decorating and the atmosphere and energy in the restaurant is friendly and inviting and they did not skimp on the decor. I ended up getting the French Toast, a side of bacon and a **** to go along with my coffee! Everything was fresh and tasted amazing. And I mean everything! From the olives on the **** to the berries on the French Toast each bite and sip hit the spot. I'm glad my friends moved close by so I have a reason to come back to this place. Looking forward to trying more things on the menu."

"Went here w a group of friends and had a blast. I was quite nervous when booking as this place is known for their breakfast brunch and not their newly offered dinner service. However, I must tell you this place is a gem. We chose to sit in the outdoor patio, were greeted by Ray (pretty sure that was his name was drinking so I apologize! and had a great dinner. Vegan options (vegan burger veggie bites for some at the table as well as some great meat options (steak hanger steak . Would highly recommend corkage was only $20 bottle I believe. Had live music there and really a good scene."

"The food and the owner of this restaurant were excellent, but the service was a real issue. We had three different servers attend to our table, yet none of them brought us water or helped us open our wine bottle without us asking. We ordered appetizers and main courses, but it seemed like the server combined all our orders because everything arrived at once, which was quite frustrating since we had ordered a salad to enjoy before the main meal. They took our plate back to the kitchen, but we were served the same plate again 29 minutes later. The owner did come over to apologize, which we appreciated. However, when we finished and stood up to leave, a server came over with a dessert for us just as we were walking out the door!"

"This place right here offered such a great experience. There are sisters who own this place and they still run it like they just opened. They greet you and if you have questions about the menu she will go through the history of the dish and flavors. We have never had moraccon food but they set a pretty high standard. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous and along with a great waitstaff I will definitely come back. We wanted to try a little bit of everything so we ordered chicken pastilla, chicken kabob, madghout and chicken tagine. Chicken pastilla takes 45 minutes to make so we ordered other food to try it after. There's an appreciation for them to make an item by hand. The Madghout is a lamb shank that's made with 7 seasonings and marinated for hours. It was tender, full of flavor and filling. I enjoyed the rice and the mint tea. If you want a drink I highly recommend the mint tea. It's hot but the mint makes it refreshing and honestly very enjoyable. Try this place out. The chicken was flavorful and so delicious. Also have a conversation with the sisters they can give you so much history of moraccon food like the chicken pastilla that's typically made for really special events and is not eaten every day. It's typically made for high standing people so it was an honor to try it and experience such a major food. Overall loved the food and the staff."

"This is a fantastic restaurant! I came here for dinner and had a wonderful experience with both the atmosphere and the food. The prices are very reasonable, with pizzas costing around $10 and a selection of breads for about $8, while most main dishes fall within the $10 to $15 range. The total for our meal, which served three people and included several side dishes, came to approximately $65—more than enough for us. The service was excellent, with the food arriving quickly (within 15-20 minutes), and we appreciated the breads that were served early as an appetizer, although they do come at an additional cost. You are required to show proof of vaccination (which can be done through your phone), and you place your order via a website accessed through a QR code at the table—it worked flawlessly for us. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant!"
