"I can 't believe that I 've never heard of Maria 's Cucina. It 's located in a quieter section of Federal Hill and I appreciated the parking availability. It 's an old Victorian house that looks a little worn on the outside, but don 't be fooled the interior will blow you away. The vibe is old school Italian in a classy way. You feel like you are dining out . The service could not have been better. Our server, Jenna, was a gem. The fried calamari was perfectly cooked crispy tender. I had mixed feelings about the entrees. The bone in pounded veal Parmesan was excellent and the portion was huge! I was underwhelmed by the carbonara. No room for dessert on this visit but, eyeing the lemon olive oil cake for next time. Coffee is first rate. I look forward to returning to dine outdoors in the warmer weather."
