"Upon our arrival, the staff at the desk were, honestly, the worst I’ve ever encountered. One guy seemed completely clueless (I'll give him the benefit of the doubt since he might have been new), but the manager was extremely unprofessional. He informed us that we couldn't bring the mini ice cream cake we purchased, even though we were previously told we could bring snacks, and they don’t sell cake. When we explained that we were told we could bring it and had already bought it, he dismissively said it wasn’t his problem and refused to store it in the fridge or freezer for an hour until we left. He even told us to eat it in the parking lot! I don’t know if upper management at Wamesit reads these reviews, but please ensure that your staff treats guests better than this.
Additionally, we were greeted by our server, who mentioned it was her first day. She was very nice, and I don’t want to be unfair to someone who's just starting out, but management really should train staff before putting them to work alone. We had difficulties ordering appetizers and ended up with the wrong card charged at full price, which then needed to be voided at the end. She was obviously flustered, but we didn’t blame her.
Our chicken bites were cold, and the appetizer platters were just average—though I suppose that’s to be expected at a bowling alley. I just thought I'd get more for the price and atmosphere.
Lastly, I have a suggestion for kid-friendly parties: when adults order alcoholic beverages, the children’s drinks should be served in cups with lids. While I take responsibility for my children, it was hard to keep track of what my daughter was drinking since everything was served in the same type of cups on a small table.
We tried to remain polite despite the negative interaction with management, but unfortunately, we won’t be returning. I hope this feedback is helpful for future customers and management."
