"I've been visiting Sal's in Deerfield Beach several times a year since the mid-90s. A few weeks ago, I stopped by and saw that it was closed for remodeling. Now, it's opened as Doce Vita. When I walked in, I noticed that the space had been transformed, featuring all-white walls and just tables and chairs—no booths or the charming old-world atmosphere that I remembered. I glanced at the limited menu and decided to leave."

"Stopped by this pizza spot twice during my last trip as it was close to where I was staying and open late for a bite post concert. What we got: Sofia Loren Slice Pepperoni Slice Margherita Slice Garlic Knot Final thoughts: Spot is okay, but I've had much better pizza elsewhere. I found the slices to be thin and crispy, but also quite oily and lacking in the cheese department (though the bites with mozz were great). I like my pizza saucier and with more cheese, but that's just my taste. A protip if you get a garlic knot is to save that marinara sauce and add it to your left over slice if you also like a little more sauce!"
