"I've been to this restaurant twice now, mainly to enjoy their amazing margaritas, which are truly top-notch! During my latest visit, I decided to try the Camarones a la Diabla since I was in the mood for something spicy, along with some Mexican nachos. When I called to ask if I could substitute beef for extra beans, the staff was super helpful and even suggested adding rice, which I thought was a nice touch! The team was very friendly when I picked up my food, and it was both satisfying and delicious. I will definitely be back!"

"Soggy Burritos, I asked if they could give me burritos this time instead of a burrito soup and still received salty soggy mush. Im no burrito expert, but I kind of thought you eat burritos with your hands and not a spoon. Thought I got chips dip with them also, nope. Asked to add lettuce which I paid $1.25 extra for, nope. This place is will never see a penny from me again though. Don 't take my word for it, go grab a spoon and a soggy burrito from El Cap!"

"Very, very good experience. We had a large party which is always difficult to seat four kids, four adults. We had a great experience from the minute we walked in the door. They were very concerned about seating us quickly and were very accommodating. We didn't wait more than 10 minutes before they had a table for all of us. The food was very good with portions that were just right. Be warned that they have a heavy handed pour on their drinks which is great! Lots of happy adults who were very loud in the restaurant. The staff was amazing with the kids making jokes, explaining things with patience and being silly. The kids loved it! We were really blown away with just an outstanding experience."

"It’s not uncommon for staff at other places to be annoyed at serving a customer after a lull, but not here. The waiter noticed I was having trouble seeing something on my phone and kindly offered me a sheet of paper with the WiFi password since reception can be tricky here. As I glanced around, he asked, “What are you looking for? Need hot sauce? Here you go!” He also offered me some of their homemade hot sauce to try. When I mentioned my preferences, he asked, “Is baseball okay? Would you like me to change the channel?” It once was said that service is simply what happens to you: taking orders, getting them right, and delivering what you asked for is the bare minimum; but true hospitality is about anticipating your needs and ensuring you have the best experience possible. The food was excellent, and I know I’ll be coming back again and again for such delightful cuisine and service that’s hard to come by. My server’s name was Ollie."

"My second time going there. The first time I went with the family, 5 of us. My husband and I shared a dish made for 2. We got our food so fast and everything was delicious! We went back again, 3 of us and again the service was spectacular! My husband and I ordered the same dish, the Supreme Molcajete! It is to die for! A combination of chicken, steak and shrimp marinated in this heavenly sauce full of flavor. They say its enough for 2 but we were 3. Along with chips and guacamole it was more than enough. And their prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place and give them and A+"

"This Mexican restaurant in Phoenix is the best one around. The exterior may not look like much, but once you try the food, you'll be blown away. "We used to enjoy this restaurant until we had an issue with the food. I never eat beef, and my taco salad had beef in it. I had already started eating it before realizing due to the dim lighting. The staff gave a half-hearted apology and I had to wait for my food to be recooked. However, they never came back to check on us. At that point, I couldn't even eat because I was afraid of getting sick. Thankfully, I am not allergic to beef. Mistakes happen, but at least show that you care about the mistake. After dining here for three years, we will not be returning. The service was terrible, as I had to go to the counter to get a to-go box and the check."

"I had the stewed chicken, yellow rice and black beans. It was a lot of food for the price so I thought I'd eat some and bring the rest home. Once I started eating, I didn't stop. The chicken well seasoned moist and bursting with flavor. The rice...not dry at all but I had them add gravy from the chicken and along with the black beans, all kinds of flavors were bursting in my mouth. I ate everything. I left out of there full and well satisfied. I would highly, highly, highly recommend this place."

"I would give zero stars if I could. I did take out and they forgot to give me my entire entree (I ordered two). When I got home, I realized it and called them but it was after close so I had to call several times for someone to pick up. They refused to refund me, so I settled with them saying they would give me a credit that I could use whenever I wanted. I just called to try and use it and they told me no because it had been too long (6 months), despite the manager at the time telling me that it would never expire."

"The food was great but I believe I had a bad experience with one of the customer service providers I went in there and I think they were having a bad day which I completely understand everybody ends up having a bad day but when you start taking it out on your customers then maybe it's time for you to go take A-day off not trying to get nobody fired or anything but I really felt uncomfortable that day"

"We were a party of and selected Habanero's because we were able to make an online reservation through Open Table. We received email and text notifications that our reservation was confirmed. Habanero's did not honor our Open Table reservation. After speaking with the hostess and manager they both explained that they don't use Open Table. After the lobby was emptied our party was sat minutes past our confirmation time even though there were tables available. Our server did a great job taking food and drink orders. Non-bar drinks were delivered right away but anyone that ordered from the bar waited minutes for their drinks. Most of the folks in our group liked the food. If I was the manager I would have honored the reservation and I would not have shared with the customer that they have issues with Open Table I would have taken care of that behind the scenes."

"We had dinner on a Sunday night, so the restaurant was pretty empty. The decor is attractive and we could hear the music in the background. I had the best mojito ever. The menu has a lot more upscale items than you would expect at a Mexican restaurant. We each had a drink, shared the best caesar salad ever and an entree each . Without the discount, including tip, we would have paid just under The entrees were not huge but delicious"

"It was just okay, but I don't think it was worth the price. I ordered a wet burrito, and it was quite bland—barely any flavor at all. I also got some ice cream, but they seemed confused about the different flavors. I suggested that if it made things easier, I would just take the watermelon flavor. They completely ignored that and handed me the wrong one, which I only discovered after I got home. I was really looking forward to the ice cream and burrito, so I was pretty disappointed. I’m giving it 3 stars because it wasn’t the worst place I've been to, and the horchata was decent, but it mainly tasted like ice, which was a letdown. I probably won't return, but I might consider trying it again—it depends."

"On this Saturday there were several restaurants with a party for 15 seats. No one had enough room for our party. We happened at the Plaza agave because they could take a party our size. I was empty when we arrived because it wasn't almost as busy as the rest of the local restaurants. To my surprise, they were not disappointed. The server was wonderful, it was nice and attentive. The food is probably the best Mexican food I had so far. The prices are slightly higher than their competitors, but it was worth the extra money. The atmosphere is calm and feels private what we loved. The strawberry margaritas, where fantastic. If you haven't stopped, I recommend you. We will return!"
