"Nice looking place. Fairly decent service too. The food was hit and miss. The hummus was, a miss. Very thin, under flavored and the bread wasn't flavorful enough to save the party. The vol au vent was spot on. I would have liked to have it served with some side that had acidity, to help cut the rich creaminess. Creamy bite after creamy bite after creamy bite can become overwhelming after time. But the dish itself is very good! Usually you don't see French food offered at a Mediterranean establishment, even though something France does border the Mediterranean. This dish was by far the most successful that we ordered. The mixed grill was not very good either. The chicken was especially dry. The Muhammara didn't seem to be very flavorful, flat until the spice hit. In this defense, we only had a small taste to see if we liked it. We didn't so we didn't try a larger quantity. Maybe had we given it more chances we would have come around to liking it. The rice served was on point. Cooked perfectly, which seems to be an issue at some places. The meat had a relatively mild seasoning profile. Out of the two meats served, it was the better. The bread, I'm going to place my bet on purchased from some purveyor. There are a lot of decent and interesting breads you can buy, but this was generic and bland. They gave us a big stack of it though, but after eating it with the hummus, we really did want to eat any more of it. An in-house naan would have been far more flavorful and not that difficult to make."
