"Dashiwa Ramen A Gastronomic Delight! I recently dined at Dashiwa Ramen, and I must say it was an exceptional culinary experience. This cozy little eatery nestled in the heart of Arcadia offers a wide array of Japanese delicacies, and I was particularly impressed with their beef curry udon, chicken cutlets curry, beef curry rice, and chicken karaage. Let's start with the beef curry udon. The combination of tender beef and flavorful curry sauce was simply divine. The udon noodles were cooked to perfection, providing a delightful chewy texture. The curry itself was rich, aromatic, and packed with just the right amount of spices. The beef was incredibly tender and succulent, adding a delightful meaty element to the dish. It was a harmonious blend of flavors that left me craving for more. Next up, the chicken cutlets curry. The chicken cutlets were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, providing a delightful contrast of textures. The curry sauce was velvety and full bodied, with a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness. Each bite was a heavenly combination of tender chicken and the delectable curry. It was a true comfort food experience that left me thoroughly satisfied. Moving on to the beef curry rice, I was amazed by the generous portion of tender beef served on a bed of fluffy rice, all smothered in the flavorful curry sauce. The beef was melt in your mouth tender, and the curry sauce added a delightful kick of flavor to the dish. The rice acted as the perfect base, absorbing all the delicious flavors and adding a comforting element to the meal. It was a hearty and fulfilling dish that left me feeling content. Lastly, the chicken karaage was a delightful appetizer that showcased the skill of the chef. The chicken pieces were perfectly fried to a crispy golden brown, while the meat inside remained moist and flavorful. The accompanying dipping sauce added a tangy and savory dimension to the dish, enhancing the overall experience. It was a perfect balance of textures and flavors that left me wanting more. In addition to the remarkable food, the service at Dashiwa Ramen was impeccable. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The cozy ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience, making it a perfect spot for a casual meal or a gathering with friends and family. In conclusion, Dashiwa Ramen surpassed my expectations with their delectable offerings. The beef curry udon, chicken cutlets curry, beef curry rice, and chicken karaage were all outstanding in terms of taste, presentation, and quality. If you're a fan of Japanese cuisine, I highly recommend paying a visit to Dashiwa Ramen. It's a culinary gem that will undoubtedly leave you with a memorable dining experience. "I loved this place and have been a bunch since it opened. But I probably won't be back unfortunately. The quality has gone really downhill in a lot of areas. They switched the neat Tiki cups and presentations to simple patterned glassware (which is to cut costs I'm sure...but for such a high price point...is indicative of where their priority is now). I hate to crap on anyone in the service side but it was really terrible. Went for my birthday, and the server didn't know ingredients in the drinks (no worries, we can read, but it seemed to irritate her that we asked), no one explained the menu, some of the food came cold, some of the food was completely forgotten, we had to get up from the table and go find her twice (after we asked a few times from passing people) after waiting a while to order, and also just pay. No one wanted to help get us simple things like napkins and water. The presentation of the food and the fancy drink was lackluster and they couldn't have cared less. They forgot to pour the hot water in the towelettes, again not an important thing, but way different than in the past...and it just sat there like weird sad pellets of disappointment. Honestly they were just annoyed we were even there. And what's frustrating is we're a very easy group, with some of us service people. We were polite and thanked them and were genuinely nice. We didn't need over the top enthusiasm...we know it sucks to wait tables on a Wednesday...but damn. At 70+ a person, it was pretty terrible quality. Still had a great time seeing friends and hanging out in the space. But it's probably the last time I'll take people here. There are other places to explore."

"I feel like I should leave a review to warn other customers. A person whom I assume was the owner was so rude to me that I started crying and left without ordering anything. I had previously eaten at Ramen Hachi and the ramen I had was pretty good. The takoyaki was just okay they use pre made frozen takoyaki and deep fry it, which I could easily buy at the asian market and fry myself, so I think that 's a rip off for customers. Frozen food should not be on the menu at a restaurant for high prices. Moreover, I stood at the door and waited to be seated for over ten minutes in an empty restuarant, since there was a sign that said 'wait to be seated ' at the door. However, the workers cannot see the door from the kitchen, and there is no host to greet you at the door itself. So you just stand there and wait at the door for ages, wasting your time. So I finally just sat down by myself after waiting for as long as I possibly could, and was finally greeted by someone who took my order and I had my meal. Then, during my second visit, the exact same thing happened. I walked in, and there was a sign that said 'wait to be seated ' in a nearly empty restaurant. There was only one other table of customers in the entire restaurant, and it was during a slow afternoon period on a weekday. So I stood at the front door and waited to be seated once again for over ten minutes. But I only have so much time on my lunch break, so once again, I seated myself at a table hoping someone would notice me. The owner (who had been ignoring me at the door for ten minutes) then immediately walked up to me and yelled, 'did you not see the sign?? it said wait to be seated! ' and stormed away. I was so embarassed that I started to cry, and I just left immediately. I did wait, you complete jerk. I waited for over ten minutes until I couldn 't wait anymore. Customers should never be treated this way, especially when they 've done nothing wrong. It 's your fault that you failed to greet someone at the door for over ten minutes. If you can 't see customers from the kitchen, and you 're so incompetent that you can 't place a doorbell in the kitchen to notify you that someone has walked into your restuarant, then you don 't put a sign at the door that says 'wait to be seated ' people aren 't going to wait for the rest of their lives. They 're obviously going to seat themselves, and that shouldn 't be a surprise. Also, I would have thought they 'd be glad for the business, since the place was so dead, but apparently not. I also work in a restaurant, and I would never dream of treating a customer that way, and it 's not like he needed the tables for other customers the restaurant was completely dead. Just an all around horrible experience. In short, I don 't recommend this restaurant."
