"It was pure serendipity that, on our late drive from the Atlanta airport to Tuscaloosa, everything seemed to be closed. My daughter found Bamba Cuisine. And lucky for us that we did. The place was closing in 15 minutes and we were 10 minutes away, so we ordered by phone. Fufu?...sure. (hey kids, what 's fufu? ... You have three kinds of lamb dishes? With okra, with peanut sauce, and one with creamed spinach? OK....we 'll take all three... chicken with vegetables and couscous? Ok...two orders. We 're on our way! We drove into a sketchy neighborhood, pulled into the parking lot, and immediately had second thoughts. African food and hair braiding . You can 't make this up. Inside wasn 't exactly 4 star dining, but there are a few tables and chairs and a kitchen with a busy chef. I told him that we just ordered and, if it wasn 't asking too much trouble, could he let us eat some of the food at a table. We sat down and he started bringing dish after dish. And everything was truly delicious. I 'm not much into sauces but my daughters really enjoy Indian food. To me, this was a superior style of cooking. The lamb in each dish was plentiful, cooked so it was soft, and the sauces were tasty. The chicken dishes were enormous and cooked perfectly. There were so many vegetables and couscous, it was clear we over ordered. The chef let us stay well after closing to allow us to finish our wonderful meal. The bill was only $80 for four people and we had enough leftovers for two more meals. I don 't know when I 'll be in Atlanta again but I am CLEARLY going to return to this restaurant."
