"NOT AS GREAT AS IT USED TO BE. STILL GOOD. Still is a good place to good if you are looking for Hakata style hotpot I've been dining here for the past ~5 yrs. There are a few noticeable changes that concern me. 1. Food portion is getting smaller. I'm fine with raising the price since price of everything else is pumping, but not the same price but reduced portion. And it's noticeable. I'll put some comparison pictures here when I find them. 2. Favor changed. Taste is not as strong as it used to be. Also, not as it traditionally should be. Maybe someone complains about it being too salty? but come on, it's the way it should be. Please have the option on the menu to choose the traditional way or the plain way. 3. Service is changing. It's a busy restaurant, gets fully booked every day. Before, all the staff is nice and super-efficient(to a point where I really wanna tip them when they don't take tips). Lately, there is a rush feeling. Feels like they are rushing you out. Took plates away or started to change things on the table without asking or at least notice. First time got soup on my shirt while they were cooking noodles. ALSO, NO MORE SUGARS when leaving. 4. Seating. It's getting more crowded. One of the staff asked the customer who sit right next to me to move her seat because staffs can't walk in between. Seems to be normal, but the lady was already in a very tight position. Instead, think about seating, please. Plus, my seat got hit twice by staffs. Don't get me wrong. This is a very good restaurant. And one of the few places in NYC where you can get authentic Hakata regional hotpot. My go-to place when I'm in the area. Wish all the best."
