"Things only worsened when the entrees arrived. My mother ordered pollo saltado, which didn't taste like the traditional version, but I suppose that was to be expected since it’s a Peruvian dish. I opted for my usual: an arepa with carne desmechada. However, the flavor was unsettling—almost as if the meat had gone bad. Thinking I might have misjudged, I asked my mom and husband to try it. My mom couldn't handle it, and my husband remarked, "something is definitely off." The meat seemed as if it had been left out for three or four days.
My husband ordered a bandeja paisa, and a few bites in, he discovered a long black hair—not from any of us. Our waitress didn’t check on us at all, so I called over another waiter and showed him the hair on the plate. He took it away but then I handed him my plate as well and explained that all of us found the meat questionable. He returned to say he needed permission to offer us something else since he had only been working there for a month. He suggested grilled chicken, but we politely declined as we had lost our appetites by then.
When the bill arrived, they still charged us for the plate with the hair, only removing my $8 dish, which was the least expensive item. Overall, a significant portion of our food was either old, spoiled, or stale. It's disappointing to see such a decline in both service and food quality. I cannot recommend this place."
