"Unlike Raw Generation and other juicing companies I've dealt with in the past, which always ship their juices frozen to maintain their nutritional value for months, I knew that if I received unfrozen juices, I wouldn't be able to consume them all within a couple of days. I certainly didn’t want to end up with oxidized, nutrient-depleted juices. After reaching out, Little West assured me in writing that they shipped their juices frozen, which prompted me to place an order.
Unfortunately, I received a shipping notification five days before the juices finally arrived. When they did come, they were not only warm due to the summer heat wave here on the East Coast, but upon contacting Little West, I learned that they do not ship frozen at all. They claimed my juices had been sitting in hot trucks and warehouses for two or three days before being left on my porch in the heat. Their response indicated that this was acceptable within their standards, leaving me feeling frustrated and unsupported.
I attempted to educate them on industry standards regarding frozen shipping to help preserve juice freshness and nutrients. I genuinely wanted them to succeed since I believe in a community of health-conscious and caring individuals. However, after three emails, each revealing more concerning information, they continued to express their regret but refused to issue a refund. They acknowledged that my assurances about receiving frozen juices were inaccurate, and despite that, they maintained that their juices could remain drinkable for up to 30 days with only three small ice packs, like those used in a child's lunch.
It's perplexing that they don't understand how quickly oxidation can ruin juices or the importance of customer goodwill, which holds actual monetary value in business practices. Essentially, I felt misled, my money was not refunded, and I was being given the runaround regarding the quality of their product.
I strongly advise potential customers to avoid Little West altogether. Receiving juices at unsafe temperatures goes against my goal of improving my health. Dealing with staff like Rochelle through email has proven to be a frustrating and pointless exercise. I've decided to give up on this company, feeling that my money has essentially been taken without justice. Buyer beware!"
