"Unfortunately some of our meals were not up to par. The escargot mushrooms were so small, 1/4 of the size of the snails. The escargot and the stuffed mushrooms were so greasy you could hardly eat them. The entrees were good except for the ribs. The ribs were completely over cooked to the point of dried out and crusty. Did not eat the ribs.. took them home for the dog. The service was great as usual. Thinking the chef had an off night!"

"My first time at Lola and it was such a delight. We went to celebrate my birthday and the restaurant was up to par. We started with the Beef Cheek Pirogies. Those are a must order. You will enjoy the texture, and the rich flavor. When asked for a recommendation for the main course, Hanger Steak was recommended. All 5 of us ordered the Hanger Steak, and we were very happy with what we ordered. The meat was so tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. The sauce on the meat is very good. For the sides we got the Potato Lyonnaise and the Mushrooms. You definitely have to get the mushrooms, those are incredible. The Figgy Pudding for dessert was a very good choice. The texture is good, the cream cheese ice cream is yummy, and the drizzle on top of it makes it even better. I’d definitely be back to Lola."

"We were impressed with the front desk person asking, not just for proof of vaccination, but also confirming our identity, something lacking in ALL the restaurants we have visited since the policy came into effect. Our server, Jordan, made the meal. Her professional and outgoing...demeanor started the meal off on the right track. The quality and quantity of the food did the rest. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. There was no pressure to rush through the meal. "This restaurant offers excellent service and delicious food! I personally prefer my steak rare and it was cooked to perfection, although it may appear too raw for some people. Despite how rare it was, the steak was incredibly tender and practically melted in my mouth like butter. It is a difficult task to cook a steak this way, but this restaurant did it perfectly. I rarely order this type of steak because not every restaurant can get it right, but Long Horn did an exceptional job. The side dishes were also great, with flavors that are not typically found in everyday meals. Overall, it was a deliciously indulgent experience. The server was polite and attentive, and we were very pleased with the service. Great job, Long Horn!"

"I’m a big fan of Anejo in Calgary. The banff location needs work. Service was friendly but the staff and bartenders clearly had no training about the different tequilas nor did they have good service protocols in place. The service at the bar was more one that reminded me of a jaded nightclub, where you had to work to get staff’s attention, the anejo brand was not represented well at all in my opinion. We had to ask for water, food took a long time to be served, bartenders were slamming glass bottles into the trash during our entire stay which was heard in the dining room, it was loud and unpleasant. I still think the margaritas and food are still worth a go, but just expect to have more of a part time job staff vibe as opposed to lifers who are 100% behind the c restaurant culture."

"When we were seated in the dining room there was an accommodation request that was handled poorly by the waiting staff, and they were clearly speaking without proper knowledge of why the request was made, nonetheless it wasn't able to be accommodated because it would interfere with our neighboring table....that was empty. I really don't like conflict so I didn't pursue any further. I should have left at that point. Food was ordered (fish of the day) and when it was received it had the wrong veggies, and the fish was very bland albeit I did get it hot which was nice. I ate most of the fish while waiting for my correct veggies, and then found out when I told staff the fish was bland (even though no one asked me how it was after I got it) that it wasn't served with the lobster cream sauce for some reason and that it's much better with the sauce....well yeah, that's how it's supposed to be served and because I didn't get it served that way (kitchen error, and poor service after our food came) I still had to pay $45 for a bland meal."

"Ii have been to this place times and it was lovely until this visit , when we were hosted by Katie . She should not be working in hospitality , very rude woman . We had a reservation and we were made to feel that we did not have one . She forced us to seat inside otherwise we would not eat brunch because they were getting close to pm and Katie had to close the restaurant. Really ???! Mind you had a reservation outside seating confirmed at and arrived on time . She was very rushed , and frantic , running around and yelling at people , including guests . Not acceptable. I will not return to your restaurant nor recommend it , because of the environment that Katie created and is treating your clients . Absolute , uncomfortable experience! Food is good but worth to return visit!!"

"My wife, daughter, and I visit True Food at least twice a week. It is one of our favorite restaurants in the area where we live. However, on this particular day, our experience was not good. It started with the unprofessional behavior of the waitress. Although my wife could better explain the details of this experience, I feel the need to communicate it as well. My wife and I ordered the OG burger, requesting it to be cooked well done. However, it arrived after a 25-minute wait, cooked medium well with too much pink inside. The waitress' response was not appropriate. I called the restaurant's phone number while seated and requested to speak with a manager. I observed the hostess speaking with the manager, but she never came to our table to address the issue. Another employee eventually brought our meals after a long wait and rudely asked us to cut open the burger to check if it was cooked to our liking. This behavior was unacceptable. Our drinks took 50 minutes to arrive, and we also ordered non-alcoholic beverages, a pizza, and a meal. This experience was disappointing. Please feel free to contact me at 202-359-2118. "Having lunch in Venice is a tough choice between finding a place with good ratings and with some sort of parking with out having to Uber from my car to the restaurant. We settled on Finn McCool's. We got a couple of burgers and beers. The waitress had a irish accent not sure if was real or not but sounded cool. We did the Build a Burger which I always like. I choose Black Angus Sirloin with Applewood Bacon, Sriracha Aioli, Pepper-Jack cheese on a House Brioche Bun. My partner got Black Angus Sirloin with Applewood Bacon, Chipotle Aioli, Gruyere cheese, grilled onions served up on toasted Irish Farmhouse Rye. The fries came in a cool little paper bag. We washed it down with a mild red beer. The food was good, the place looks like collage bar a little bit beat up, from the boozed stained cement floor to the mis-matched furniture and dark wood interior gives it personality. It looks like a cool place to spend St Patrick's day."
