"The food was great! However, service was horrible. They forgot our drink orders and 3 different people returned to the table 4 different times to take the same order. Then they confused our drink order with another table. When we finally got our drinks, after about 30 minutes at the end of our meal, they blamed the bar for the delay. However, the bar was nowhere near busy and the bartender at one point was just standing doing nothing as we waited. The drinks were good, not worth the wait. When we ordered to dessert we had to ask for cutlery twice. They dropped the dessert off and 10 minutes after it had been obvious they had no intentions of giving us cutlery. When we asked the first time, a person (who wasn’t our server) came back 5 minutes later and stated “Oh I forgot”. Then offered us a round of shots which never came. We weren’t upset about the shots not coming because at this point we wanted to leave. When we left, we paid in cash and headed out. The server chased us down the block, yelling, “HEY”. When we finally realized someone was speaking to us we stopped and turned around, she asked us if we paid. We said that we had and left it all in cash on the table. She stated “Oh you left it at the table. Okay.” It’s obvious she did not even check the table decided to that chasing us down the block like we had dined and dashed was more appropriate. Overall, we are never going back to that restaurant."

"We were at this restaurant with a reservation at 6:30pm (week ago) Freida the server is the owner’s daughter and it did not feel to us that she cared for her Mexican customers who were at Villa Peru for the first time, she was more concerned with pleasing her white American customers than her Mexican American customers equally and it took 1HR and 1/2 to get our food and appetizers prior to that, of course to no surprise there was cero apology on her part, she never acknowledged the kitchens issues they were having and her follow up was less than perfect, her white American customers got served an her undivided attention but my guests (party of 6) were treated like they did not mattered, when the food finally got to us, like our appetizers they were semi-warm, the meals did not get to us for about an hour and a half, just about the time they were about to close; we are avid foodies and have been to many restaurants and yes we have experience on what great customer services looks like at family owned venues, but Villa Peru definitely did not meet our expectations, poor service, poor tasting food and cold! Since the server didn’t bother to check on our meal status. The rib eye plate was luke warm and apparently they run out of one of their menu choices but told us about it an hour later, so one of my guests didn’t get the meal they wanted. This was a Saturday evening event, how are you not prepared for a weekend venue. Most definitely we do not recommend this place at all, whataburger has better service- please don’t waste your time whit this awful service!"

"Overpriced and overrated. It was my first time at Oloroso. I picked it up after reading rating and reviews. I love Spanish Tapas, but in a city like Philadelphia with such places as Amada and unfortunately now only history like Majorka every new restaurant must offer perfect food. Spanish restaurants also never so loud and noisy. You could say it's called bar, but then make it just a bar. Space is not suitable for a bar and a restaurant and a kitchen in two narrow rooms. People who work there are trying to do their best, but it seems like there only two of them. Of all dishes we tried only one was OK, all others looked and tasted like being prepared long ahead and reheated. Scallops(3 of them been served on a bed of other seafood and potatoes(?! , dish was called scallops. And it was practically the same as paella with potatoes substituted for rice. Charcuterie plate for 25$ was miniscule and not very fresh. Chorizo advertised as homemade, but Wegman sells a better quality Chorizo for only 13$/lb. And it was a bad idea to put pomegranate juice into Sangria. Was it to kill a bad taste of cheap wine? Sherry and bread been very good, but I do not think it was enough to make up for overall bad experience. After visiting I am curious how the good reviews are done? Or successful chefs stop caring about quality of their restaurants after achieving positive responses in the beginning."
