"My father-in-law treated us to dinner, and we decided to come here. My wife has visited many times before. I ordered a Cubano sandwich, while she chose the asopao de camarones. The flavor of the asopao was delicious, but the shrimp were quite rubbery, and traditionally, shrimp should be served without the tail. My sandwich was just okay, and it took a while to arrive, while everyone else at the table was already enjoying their meals. My father-in-law had the mofongo de chicharrones, and he mentioned that it was dry and hard. Despite the issues, I would definitely come back to try other dishes. I really enjoy restaurants like this and appreciate this type of cuisine."

"Food was too salty and the yellow rice was not cook thoroughly , rice should not be hard when you chew. To top it off, its too expensive. If you want to charge over 20.00 for rice beans and a side of meat; it better be on point. This was not. I'm sure there are folks who like it but I've been cooking for over thirty years, so, I think I know a thing or two about cooking rice. It's also that they might have had a busy day. Things happen. Still overall the price is too high for the product quality."

"The highlight of my meal was definitely the pork chops and onions. They are packed with incredible flavor that will leave you wanting more. The beans have a nice taste, but they are a bit on the salty side. As for the chicken, it had good flavor but was a bit dry; this could be because I arrived an hour before closing. Overall, I’d recommend this place for delicious Spanish cuisine in New York City. The customer service is excellent, and the staff is more than willing to assist you in choosing your meal."

"Our experience at Las Palmas Dominicanas was quite disappointing. Shortly after ordering, the waitress told us that one of the appetizers was unavailable, which was surprising since the restaurant was mostly empty, with just our group of six and another couple present. We then waited an incredible 40 minutes for water, even though we asked three times. To make matters worse, the couple who arrived after us got their meals before we did. One woman at their table even ordered multiple takeout dishes, which were served before ours, as all other takeout orders were prioritized over ours. After waiting an hour and a half for our food, we decided to ask for the check. In a baffling moment, the waitress asked a cook if we still wanted the food we'd been waiting for—all while keeping a straight face. The food might have been good, but sadly, we never got the chance to find out."

"I had the worst customer service experience at El Caldero Restaurant Sport. When I placed my order, someone else arrived and was served before me, as if I didn’t exist. The cashier seemed unaware of me and continued to attend to other customers ahead of me. I waited for an hour and a half just to receive three whole chickens. It felt like the staff favored certain customers they knew while ignoring others. The experience was incredibly frustrating and left me feeling I was treated unfairly. The menu options were overshadowed by the poor service."

"Yes yes and yes everything about this restaurant is right. The service was phonoemnal right from walking in the door. I was visiting Lancaster Pa and this little gem is a must try. The food was everything I expected it to be I am from New York City and this was far beyond my expectations for El Cubano."

"Bad food bad service.Ordered veggie burrito super nachos and sweet plantains.Barrito was missing beans. Woman told me I didn 't want beans *honey Told her I wanted everything no meat. Wasnt fun biting into the mystery hard object in there? She suggested Super nachos when I asked for chips and guacamole. I said yes! If theirs guac no meat I 'm in. Soggy chips with melted cheese... no beans guac nothing appetizing $8 in the trash.Plantains nothing bad to say but also nothing good. They were plain nothing special. Had to check everything cause with the many people around didn 't seem like anyone was doing anything... also didn 't appreciate talking bad about me in Spanish. I can understand and speak it. If I could give 0 stars I would. Would prefer to go to smaller businesses but this place is disgusting."

"I find it outrageous that a lunch special of chicken with rice and beans costs $12. I recommend not responding to this comment, as I have dined at several Spanish restaurants and am well aware of the typical price range for both quality and portion sizes. Just recently, I enjoyed a meal of roast pork, rice and beans, potato salad, and a bottle of water for only $11."

"I recently visited this restaurant for the first time and was really impressed by the food. My coworkers and I were craving Spanish cuisine, so I placed an order for all of us. The empanadas were freshly made to order and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the Morir Soñando, a refreshing Spanish orange drink that was fantastic. I didn't take any photos of our meals, but we are definitely planning to come back!"

"The food at this restaurant is fantastic. I especially enjoyed the fried chicken chunks and steak. Hna Elis provided excellent service and treated us very well. I highly recommend this place for dinner, with prices ranging from $20 to $30 per person. The atmosphere is also great, with a rating of 5 stars. I suggest trying the Picada dish."

"Truly authentic with delicious food. However, the bartender seems inexperienced and continues to insist on top-shelf drinks even after you decline. It's simpler for everyone if you speak Spanish or just stick to ordering a beer."

"Absolutely love this spot! The empanadas, smoothies, and food are all incredibly delicious—fresh, flavorful, and made with care. You can really taste the difference. The prices are fair and definitely worth your bucks. They recently got new owners, and they’re doing a fantastic job. The lady who’s always there is so kind and welcoming—it feels like you’re being served by family. Highly recommend checking it out! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $10–20"
